This is gonna be the second last chapter of my story 'cause I'm just writing a short novel. I'm not an amazing author and don't have much experience. Thankyou to all of you who read my book. It really makes me happy to see 1.3k+ reads.. :) Oh and I was hoping that if you liked this book, then maybe I can write another book. So please give me ideas? Maybe a story inspired from a song? Or I'm thinking on writing the book inspired by the Resident Evil 6 Game? Please comment. ^_^

The next morning, I woke up to the sunlight hitting my face as usual but the only difference was that I wasn't in my room. I was in my mate's room, in his arms. As a morning routine, I had the urge to pee. I tried wiggling out of Kevin's arms but they only tightened more.

"Uh, Kevin?" I whispered, trying not to sound rude.

"Yeah, babe?" He muttered in his sexy, sleepy voice.

"I have to go to the bathroom," I said and he huffed before taking his arm back and letting me free.

I scurried to the bathroom and after finishing my business, I came out to find Kevin missing. I walked outside and downstairs towards the kitchen.

There he was, by the stove (shirtless I must mention) cooking something really delicious by the smell but I couldn't help but drool over his back which was perfectly sculpted and muscled.

I heard him chuckle and assumed that he knew I was checking him out.

"Like what you see?" He said making me blush like a tomato.

I didn't answer and quietly sat on one of the island stools present. Soon enough he came to me with a plate with 4 pancakes on it. The pancake was topped with chocolate chips and chocolate syrup.

"Thank you," I politely said.

He chuckled, "You're always welcome, sweetness."

I blushed but quickly dug into the pancakes to hide my blush.

"Zoey, would you like to go shopping today?"

"Sure, I'd love to," I said and he just nodded.

-----

"This place is huge!" I exclaimed as we entered the mall through the large glass automatic sliding doors with cool air exiting from inside and hitting my face.

"Haven't you been to a mall before?" Kevin asked cocking an eyebrow.

My cheeks flushed, "uh, no," I muttered and he nodded, understanding my past.

"So, where do you wanna go first?" He asked and I shrugged.

"I don't know, take me wherever."

"Okay, then let's get some clothes first and then we'll head to the food court. Roger?"

"Copy," I smiled at us behaving as if we were on a mission to rescue this mall from the enemy attacks and he winked before leading me into a store where different dresses hung on dummies near the entrance.

After 2 hours of shopping, we headed towards the food court with Kevin carrying at least 4 large bags. I spotted a comfortable place and plopped down on the seat while Kevin took the one opposite mine.

"Pizza?" He asked and before I could answer my stomach growled making me blush and him, chuckle.

"Anything would do," I said and he nodded before getting up and walking away.

I could feel people giving me different looks, mostly girls because of Kevin. He was handsome, undoubtedly, and because of that I was getting all the jealous looks making me slightly uncomfortable. Fortunately, Kevin didn't take long and returned with a large pizza box in his hands. The smell of pepperoni and cheese entered my nostrils and my mouth watered.

Kevin kept the box on the table and opened the box as if doing magic and suddenly out of nowhere a rabbit would appear.

Without hesitating, I grabbed a slice and before it could enter my mouth, my eyes saw something or someone just behind Kevin, taking a seat. The person I never wanted to see again.

Blade.

My heart stopped beating for a minute as if sensing my fear, Kevin whipped his around before growling slightly.

"Leave it, Kev. He's not worth it," I said and I was sure he saw the pain in my eyes because his face covered up with concern.

I kept the slice back in the box, suddenly not feeling hungry anymore. I got up and started walking towards the exit.

"Zoey, at least eat something. You were hungry," I heard Kevin's voice call out behind me but I didn't stop and continued towards the exit.

Before I could get to the car, hands wrapped around my waist, bringing me to a stop. From the tingles, I knew it was Kevin.

"Sweetheart, you have to face your fears. If you keep running away like this, you'll always be considered weak and ... pathetic..." He trailed off with bitterness and I knew he didn't want me to be weak and pathetic, "You'll have to face them one day," he said and I couldn't help but agree.

I breathed in deeply and took a U-turn, heading back into the mall and to the food court where I last saw him.

He was sitting with Diana and I abruptly walked to his table. He looked and his eyes widened, definitely not expecting me to be here in front of him safe and alive. Last time he saw me, I was on my last breath.

"Z-Zoey?" He whispered, and the scowl on Diana's face was just as ugly as her soul. "What are you doing here? How are you alive?"

"Well, since you rejected me doesn't mean that I should've died. Okay, I was shot by a silver bullet but feed something in your mind that I took that bullet for a dipshit like you. But you? You rejected me. How pathetic of you. I would've definitely died. But maybe God wasn't so merciless. He sent this angel-," I gestured towards Kevin standing beside me, "-to save me. He didn't see my face. He saw my soul. He accepted me. He's my mate. Thankfully, I have someone to love and unlike you with no love but just lust in your life. I hope you have a good life ahead with this slut," I finished giving Diana a disgusted look before taking Kevin's hand and walking off.

"I feel so relieved. Like a weight has been lifted off of my shoulders," I told Kevin as we reached our car in the parking lot.

"Told ya it would work," he smirked and then winked.

I smiled before hugging him tightly, "thank you so much, Kev."
