Was it how upset he had been, and somewhere deep down still was? Was it the cover of green leaves around them? He wasn't sure, but suddenly everything seemed to be soft and muted and he felt like he never wanted to move from this spot again. The bark of the tree was rough against his back, but Brett's hands on his belly were soft. And when Brett's hand slid down and cupped him he was hard already.
"Oh." he mouthed as Brett smiled triumphantly.
"Yeah?" he breathed. Eddy nodded and Brett opened his button and zipper, then freed him. He looked around him quickly, before bending over and taking him into his mouth.

How had this moment, this movement suddenly become so weighted? It was like with every stroke of Brett's mouth, in this place, in their haven, he was erasing something that had festered inside him for years. Like something was building inside him along with his orgasm, a strength he hadn't known he posessed. He looked at the trees above his head as he tried not to groan.
"Oh God, Brett." he whispered as he surrendered, surrendered to Brett's mouth and the moment.
"I love you so much."  Brett mumbled against him. The waves were building fast as Brett carried on moving up, and down, his tongue deliciously flicking over his end.
"I love you too!" Eddy almost called, and he clamped his hand over his mouth as he came, Brett riding the waves with him, sucking him sweetly.

Why were there tears in his eyes again? He came back down to earth to find Brett gazing at him with his burning eyes, moist with something, shining with more.
"I'm so proud of you, Eddy." Brett whispered. "You did something so brave today."
Eddy sat up and did up his trousers quickly.
"I don't know if it was brave or stupid, to be honest."
Brett got up and held out his hand. He was hard in his jeans, Eddy could see that very well, but he also knew him well enough to know what the gesture meant.
Later, it meant.
Well. He could give him later.
He took the hand that Brett was holding out and allowed himself to be pulled up. Brett looked through the green, to check whether their grass field was empty. Then he stepped out of their hiding place quickly and Eddy followed him over the grass, past the bench and over the gravel paths to the side entrance to the park. He took a deep breath as they saw the road approaching.
What would Todd say?
And yet he knew that something in him was different. He would deal with whatever came.

"Eddy." Todd said. He had been leaning on the bonnet of his little red car but he got up when he saw them. It was starting to get dark now. "You okay?"
"Er. Yeah. I think so."
"You told your mum about us?"
Eddy nodded.
"And it didn't go well?" Todd carried on.
Eddy shook his head mutely.
"God, Eddy, I'm so sorry." Todd said. "I feel like... I dunno, I feel like I've got you into trouble somehow."
Eddy managed to smile at him as he opened the car door.
"You haven't, Todd. This was always coming. At least she's having to get used to you being gay, not us, yet."
Todd's lips tensed.
"And what if she doesn't?"
It was the million dollar question, of course, the one that shot daggers through his heart. Yet, maybe because of what Brett had just done to him, or where he had done that to him, his spirit was calm as he shrugged.
"Then I can't help that, Todd. I've said it now. So I guess we'll just have to wait and see what happens next."
