Caitlin went to her shop. She sat down and sighed. She had always enjoyed running this place, but it was only something that she did now and again, as the event planning was a full time job, which brought in enough money to live on. This was just a side business. Her parents didn't want her to run it anymore, as her other job took it out of her, and they didn't want her to over exert herself. They were worried that she was running herself into the ground, but Caitlin couldn't let this place go. It was were everything started for them, on that day

Caitlin was busy at the shop, when she heard the door open

"The shops not open yet. Please come back later"

Caitlin turned around and saw that guy that she had seen the other day. She suddenly remembered about what her friend had said about her boyfriend coming to see her

"Oh. So your him?"

"Yes, I am"

"Please come in"

Barry sat down. Caitlin took a seat opposite him

"You should have told me who you were straight away"

"I don't know you"

"Anyway, forget about that. When's the big day?"

"Not for a long time I hope"

"Not for a long time? She'll be crushed"

"Why?"

"Because she thinks that you are going to propose"

"Who?"

"My friend"

Barry was shocked. This conversation had taken a weird turn

"I'm sorry, but what does your friend have to do with me?"

Caitlin started laughing

"Your so funny. I can see why she likes you so much"

"No, I'm being serious"

"Oh ok. Let's keep playing this game. But just so you know, I'm going to tell her that I like you very much"

"I'm touched"

"Anyway, I'm going to tell you that your father in law works for that stuck up royal family that my dad used to work for. Have you heard of the royal family?"

"Listen I'm ....."

"No, you won't have. Did you know that in today's newspaper, there is an article with them"

"Really?"

"Yes. Wait here. I'll show you"

Caitlin showed Barry the paper

"Look, here's a photo of the stuck up dad"

"I see"

"And here's his son, who is just as awful. Wait, a minute, he looks just like you"

"Let me see. I don't read newspapers"

Caitlin started pointing from the paper to the guy in front of her, "you. Your him. I'm so dead"

"Don't say that. Your very funny, very funny", said Barry, playfully hitting Caitlin in the arm

"All right, you have had your fun. Now please go"

Barry turned to go, but stopped and turned around

"Really miss, you are very funny"

"Caitlin"

"Yes?"

"Your dad forgot the cake"

"And? How does that concern me?"

"This is big. It's the king's birthday and your dad has forgotten the cake. The party is going to be a disaster without the cake"

"Why should I care?"

"Because this affects us all"

"What do you want me to do?"

"I'm glad that you asked. I need you to drop this off for me. It's the design that the cake is based on. Your dad urgently needs it"

"Me? No way. I'm not going into that sucked up place, with all those sucked up people"

"Caitlin"

"Mum no. Why would I go there? What could I possibly gain from going there?"

"Caitlin, you know the reason. Maybe you'll meet someone there and get out"

"Mum, me with them? I'd rather die"

"I know how you feel, but darling I want you to have a better life then me and your dad. I want you to have all the opportunities that we never had"

"Mum, I'm fine. Do you honestly think that I would be happy with one of them? We might not be filthy rich, but I'm happy with my life"

"Good. Now go"

Caitlin moaned, as she made her way out of the door and towards the palace. What was her mum thinking? She would never be happy there or with them. Her life might not be perfect, but she was happy in her little world. She approached the palace and sighed and went in. She looked around for her dad, but couldn't see him. She heard music and followed it into the ballroom. She watched them all fancy dancing, and giggled. They were hilarious. She was walking around the ballroom, admiring it, when she suddenly walked into a vase. She jumped back and screamed as the vase fell onto the ground and everyone stopped to look at her

"Who are you? How did you get in?

Caitlin started to speak, when she saw Barry

"It's him. Dad, it's him. That guy that I told you about"

"Girl, who are you and how did you get in?"

Caitlins dad came running up

"Sorry sir. This is my daughter. She just came to drop something off to me"

Caitlin turned to go

"Sorry about your vase"

Caitlin ran off, feeling a pair of eyes on her
