"You narrowly escaped that," Bucky spoke up turning his black bruised eyes up to the large screen that allowed them to contact the X-men within the brief room. 

The Avengers had gathered in the briefing room to alert the X-men that Aurora had gone and that she'd most likely be heading their way. Aurora's intentions had become very clear to all of them in the moments between her and Bucky. 

"I'll admit that was my fault, I should've known she would fight back," Charles replied with a grim expression across his face, "but I didn't know it would make her turn on us," 

Wanda shook her head as she bit the inside of her cheek, "There's no doubt she'll be coming for you now,"

"Then we have to stop her," Erik said coming closer to his side of the screen.

Natasha laughed, "Yeah, like that's going to be easy," 

"What do you mean?" Logan asked

"She's relentless, that's how she was trained. No feelings, no soul, no heart, just predator instinct that's what they built into her," Natasha explained, her eyes trained on the ground, "I grew up with her, I've seen her at her worst and at her best so trust me, you don't want to take her on when she's already out for your blood," 

They all pondered at this statement for a few minutes, trying to come up with the best way to get her back without doing more damage. The Phoenix had a hold on her that it didn't with Jean, instead of being out of control, Aurora was aware, in control and submissive to the chaos like she had been looking for it her whole life. 

"She can control the Phoenix Force," Wanda slowly started, "but it's her emotions that have been locked up all her life making her seem uncontrollable,"

"Then why has she gone psycho mode on us?" Sam asked looking about as puzzled as the rest. 

"Because it's twisting her thoughts and emotions as it did to me, though I didn't have as much control as she does," Jean realized, "it's using her darkness against us with the intention to kill me because I got rid of it and so it's found new, more powerful host," 

The group seemed to understand but the question of how they were going to stop her still remained and it was Steve who brought this up, "So we have to bring her to her senses, make her realize what she's doing," 

"And if that doesn't work?" Sam asked. 

"Then she can't be allowed to live," Charles replied, his face turned grim at the thought of destroying Aurora's life that she was well deserving of. 

"What?! No! Absolutely not!" Bucky raised his voice in protest pointing a finger at the screen, "you won't lay a finger on her!" 

"No, Bucky, listen, you don't understand," Charles stopped him but Bucky did not yield to this idea easily. 

"No! You listen to me!" Bucky interrupted him raising his voice even louder, "you don't want to think of a better idea to stop her from losing her shit because you don't like the threat of someone being more powerful than you!"
