Chapter 4 - Morning Calamity

"Why did you try sexually assaulting Nino?" Itsuki asked.

I swear I was being as careful as I could. But Nino would have been hurt by those books.

"I wasn't! I came here to retrieve what Fuutarou forgot here!"

"And?"

"Well, how do I explain this. In short, I protected Nino from books falling on her," I surmised.

"Well there are books on the floor..."

"Objection! He pretended to have left, and while I was trying to reach for a book to read, he forced himself on me!" Nino alleged.

"Thats a fabrication! Besides, you were gonna read without your contacts?"

"Nino, are you wearing your contacts right now?"

"N-no. I was gonna grab a book first, and then put my contacts on."

"Right, pick a book without seeing what it's about."

"Both sides have convincing points, I cant figure out whos telling the truth," Ichika manifested out of nowhere.

"I-Ichika, when did you get here?! I swear, I wasn't trying to pull anything."

"Order in court! Were there any witnesses present?" Somehow this became a court trial.

Itsuki answered quickly, as if she expected the act, "Your honor, I did take a photo of the incident."

"Looking closely, there are books on the floor. This photo doesn't prove nor disprove L/n-kuns and Ninos side of the story. Looks like the case continues on."

"Your honor, its obvious. Who would you believe, your sister or some stranger?" Nino said.

"I know you hate him, but hatred isn't enough evidence. Besides Itsuki, nobody else was in the room when it happened."

"Your honor, I have a lawyer. Could Miku present herself." Miku somehow actually showed up.

"I could hear you guys from upstairs," she said, "I have proof why L/n-kun isn't guilty. I let him in over the intercom. There's a recording, too. He said he had to pick up something, so this was an unforeseen accident."

"Why would I try something if I knew Miku was here?"

"That does make sense. I conclude that L/n-kun is not guilty." Itsuki agreed, apologizing excessively for accusing me of doing a heinous crime, and Yotsuba would have agreed had she been here.

"What?! Ichika, Miku is defending him due to her feelings-"

"Is that all you can say?" Miku shot down whatever Nino was saying.

Itsuki tried to calm the two girls down, but harshly failed, crying on Ichika's lap.

"Come on, it couldnt have been resolved so easily right?"

"Dont get so heated, we sisters used to get along so well, remember? Say, L/n-kun, you'll forget you saw Nino half naked right?" Ichika said.

"Of course, Im deeply sorry for my carelessness Nino." Couldnt forgot even if I tried. I cant say that though if I care about my safety.

"Used to?" Problem child ended up running out the apartment.

"Shouldnt we get her?" I asked.

Miku said it's best to leave her be. I decided to leave right then, cause I hardly doubt Nino would come back if I was still there. I said my goodbyes, and left.
