Chapter 50: Alone Time

Arthit and Kongpob came to Kong's house. Kongpob suggested for Arthit to stay over which made Arthit had no choice.

Kongpob was driving him, Mint was at his house, He had drink a couple of beers do it would be dangerous if, Arthit would drive. So, what was his choice, right?

During the ride, none of them spoke anything, until they reached home. Nothing. Well, Kongpob was still pissed earlier about the man earlier and Arthit didn't know how to start their conversation.

As Arthit reached the room, wherein Mint was sleeping peacefully, snuggling to a pillow at her side.

Arthit sat down to the edge, and gently stroke Mint's hair. "She was tired today." Kongpob said, handing the elder man a glass of water from the kitchen.

"What did you two done while I was gone?" He asked. "We ate ice cream after I picked her up then, went to a playground."

"She even tripped, but she was not bother by it and continued,  playing." Kongpob laughed a little, remembering how Mint was energetic, earlier.

Arthit chuckled, and Kongpob invited Arthit to the living room, with him and there they talked about what happened earlier.

"Are you hungry? Do you want me to cook something?" Kongpob asked and Arthit shook his head. "No. I am good. I already ate something at the bar earlier."

Arthit then gave Kongpob an assuring look. Kongpob sighed and only gave a "Okay." As a response.

The morning came, and the sun rose from its horizon. As Kongpob was coming down the stairs, he was greeted by a sweet, aluring smell from the kitchen. Kongpob lead himself to the Kitchen, only to find Arthit cooking breakfast for them.

He went to his lover, quietly from behind and wrapped his arms around his waist. He kissed the elders cheeks and asked, "What are you making?"

"Hotdogs and tocino." Arthit replied. Arthit then, lowered the heat from the stove and faced Kongpob.

Kongpob then, stared at the reflection of Arthit and then, smiled, sheepishly. "Why are you smiling?"

"Nothing, you just look more beautiful, up close." Kongpob said, and pressed his lips to the other. The other was indeed stunned but he returned the kiss.

After a breathless kiss. The two pulled apart, and smiled as if something good happened. Well, it does. Kissing each other, felt like they were back to their past again. The times wherein they use to share their kisses, in the dorm room during their college times where it was just only them in the room.

But, this time it was clearly different. They were parents now. They were adults. They were not in their youth anymore. And, add the fact that it was not them in here but also, Mint who was about to wake up any time soon.

They then again shared a sweet, quick peck on each others lips before Arthit continued to cook. While, the other was busy, hugging him at the back.

Well, the hug didn't last long as he expect as Arthit was done cooking and shooed him away saying, "Go ahead and wake Mint up. She has to go to school today."

The younger did what he was told to, and gone into the room, where Mint was still sleeping, soundly.

He went near her and gently tapped her shoulders, "Mint, sweetheart. Wake up~"

With a gentle and sweet voice, Mint slowly opened her eyes, "Daddy." She murmured, in her morning voice.

Kongpob then, caressed her hair, gently and said, "Let's go downstairs? Papa is waiting for us." And gently, lifted her up tp carry her.

"Papa is here?" Mint asked. Kongpob nodded and made their way to the downstairs. "Here comes our little angel!" Kongpob announced, and Arthit immediately turned to them. He greeted Mint, with a smiled and took her from Kongpob's arms. He kissed Mint's forehead saying, "Goodmorning."

Mint smiled, but then, when she looked at her papa's neck, she frowned. "Papa." She called out, Arthit hummed in response.

"Did someone hit you? You have bruises all over your neck and chest." She said, pointing out to the bruise that was placed allo over Arthit's chest and neck.

Arthit turned red, while Kongpob who was already sat to his place, gotten choked into his coffee that was made by Arthit.

Arthit and Kongpob looked at each other. They were caught off guard by their daughter's words.

Well what did really happened last night?

To answer the question, something did happened to the two last night. They did "It".

"Well...papa was just bitten by a mosquito at the place where I had gone to." He lied again.

His little girl was still innocent, and he don't want to ruin it. Even though, she knew what was kiss was, as Bright told her, but that was it. What he and Kongpob had done last night will be kept in them, and only them.

"Let's eat? Papa is hungry." Arthit suggested trying to avoid the conversation. Mint nodded and joined her parents.

Well, thank for Kongpob for ripping his shirt last night, and now he had to use Kongpob's shirt as a substitute.

__

After the breakfast, the family of three was now all set to go. Kongpob was wearing his usual working clothes while Arthit borrowed a polo from him, as his was ripped and was already thrown into the trashcan. While as Mint was wearing her yesterday's uniform. There is no more time to stop by at their house to change. And besides, uniforms could be worn for two days then be washed.

After Arthit and Kongpob dropped their daughter off to school, Arthit was checking on himself. He made sure that no one could see his hickeys.

While, Kongpob was chuckling, looking at the older man. But, clearly, the older was pissed and hit Kongpob in his arms, glaring at him.

"You already looked beautiful, why bother to look more beautiful?" Kongpob asked, "It's not because of it. You ripped me last night and worst Mint saw the evidence!"

Kongpob then, leaned forward to kiss Arthit's lips.

"There, no need to sulk." He whispered to the elder's ears and then, instead of smile, Kongpob received a smack to his shoulders from the elder. "KONGPOB!"
