Chapter 3 ☆ Unbelievable Story

Three nobushi were slowly stalking towards you. Okay, no time to panic. You've fought thousands of these while playing Genshin. "But usually I have Zhongli's shield! But now I don't have any protection! It's just me and my polearm. I knew I shouldn't have felt too excited earlier. This was bound to happen sooner or later though." You whisper to yourself.

You breathe in and out and assume a battle stance. You wait for them to charge, you know they do it fast, so you just have to dodge and then make your move. The three nobushi all charge at you and while their backs are turned you imbue your polearm with electro and with all of your might you slice through the air.

Your polearm went through all three and they vanished.

"Did I just ONE SHOT them?!"

"BRUH."

"Bruh?" quips a familiar voice. "What ever does that mean?"

You almost shit your pants before you turned around because you know that voice...very very VERY well. You prepare yourself for who you're about to see.

You turn daround and looking at you quizzically from 4 feet away was Ayato Kamisato himself.

Containing the momentous amount of fan girl energy that is about to overtake your body, you close your eyes and smile. Now you need to try formulating a coherent sentence.

"Ah, yes, 'bruh', it was uh...just a word from my hometown that we use." you said trying to be as inconspicuous as possible and flashing a shy smile.

Ayato put his hand on his chin in typical Ayato fashion and hums.

"Hmm. Interesting, I've never heard of it." he says while looking you up and down.

"I need to change my panties." you think to yourself.

Ayato meets my eyes and says "from where do you hail? You do not look like you're from Inazuma. Mondstadt perhaps? What is a beautiful woman like yourself doing in the middle of Chinju Forest?" He seemed genuinely curious with no ill intent or sinister smile to indicate that he was scheming.

'Y/n calm down, calm down. AYATO SAID I'M BEAUTIFUL?! Omg omg omg omg.'

You're red as a tomato and Ayato is looking at you expecting a response. Just as you're about to clear your throat to speak, he gives you a flirtatious smile.

Your soul attempted to leave your body but you snatched it's tail and brought that bitch right back.

'SHIT do I tell him the truth, or will he think I'm crazy?! Obviously the vision hunt decree is over since Ei gave me a vision, so maybe he's met the traveler and the idea of someone from another world isn't that crazy?'

"Well it's a pleasure to make your acquaintance Y/n L/n, I'm Ayato Kamisato, the Yashiro Commissioner and head of the Kamisato Clan here in Inazuma." Ohhhh I know daddy. Fuck he sounds so hot in real life. Okay, reign it in y/n. You're a grown woman. "Since you're not from Inazuma, nor Mondstadt, where exactly is it that you're from?" Ayato asks in a friendly tone.

'Oh fuck it, I'll tell him. If he thinks I'm off my rocker I'll book it and hope I run into someone else who will believe me.'

"Okay, since you've been kind and don't seem to display any foul motive, I'll tell you where I'm from. I genuinely hope you don't think I'm lying or crazy." You laugh in spite of yourself.

He looks at me wanting me to continue.

You take a deep breath.

"Well I'm not actually from Teyvat at all."

He gives me a "what in the actual fuck" look.

"Wait, wait, wait! Just listen."

He nods, telling me to keep going.

"I'm a doctoral student, it was my first day of school today and I was hit by a car. I blacked out and ended up here. I woke up with nothing but myself, this electro vision and this here polearm—" You lift up my polearm and point at it to show him,"—and I seem to have an innate combat ability that I did not possess previously. I defeated three nobushi in mere seconds. It was right before you spotted me talking to myself. You're technically the first person I've spoken to since I've arrived here." You looked down and released out all the air you held in due to how anxious you were telling him this. You look back up at him, pleading with your eyes for him to believe your insane story.

Ayato could tell you were confused, scared and out of place. He also didn't think you were lying due to the outlandish nature of your story and the fact that he had no idea what the fuck a car was. He looked at me with empathy.

"My, what a turn of events, you must be terrified. What was about to be your first day as a doctoral student turned into a horrific situation. You're all alone in a world you don't know and you are trying to make what you can of it. Despite all of this you took on three nobushi and defeated them. I was taking a break from paperwork and decided to take a walk when I saw a woman engaged in a fight with nobushi and was coming down to help. You were finished by the time I got here, you turned around and I was enraptured with your beauty. I planned to ask you about your encounter but all of that left my mind as soon as I looked in your eyes. You are beautiful and incredibly strong. That is beside the point. Are you alright my dear?"

Should you tell him Genshin is a game? No, not right now. That would be too much right now. You shrugged in sadness.

"You're right, it was scary. I'm astonished I was able to handle myself in such a fight. In my world I've never so much as been in a physical altercation, let alone fought with an actual weapon. I'm so sorry, this all seems ludicrous and unbelievable. I mean, I think it is. So it's understandable if you don't believe me. I'll uh...be on my way..." you shuddered, day was turning into night and it was beginning to get cold, and you didn't have a jacket.

Ayato noticed you shiver. "It's getting quite cold. If you feel comfortable with it, my estate is just a short walk from here. We can continue our conversation in my office, get you a change of clothes and some food. I mean no harm, I am a political official here in Inazuma, and you are a visitor. It would be rude of me not to help. Plus I wouldn't mind helping a lost and beautiful damsel in distress." He smirked.

You smiled with relief. You bow knowing that in Japan and Inazuma it is customary. "Thank you so much Ayato. I would appreciate that."

Ayato smiles and holds out his hand for you to take. You look up at him and grab his warm hand and smile.

"Shall we go?" Smiled Ayato.

"We shall." You smiled back.
