"Well, well, look who's inside again"

POV: Y/N

"Are you sure you have time for this? The agency seems so busy with the bomb threat. Kunikida also seems so anxious." 

"Kunikida is obsessed with his work. He even spends two hours reviewing his notes before going to bed. I, on the other hand, couldn't even do that for two minutes." Dazai got a knock on his temple by Kunikida, that he didn't know was listening all along. "How could you ditch a meeting during an emergency? I guess what's more important is going on a fancy date with Sasaki." 

"Are you jealous of my fancy date?~" Dazai wiggled his eyebrows. Kunikida had a faint pink blush on his cheeks and looked in the other direction. "When we rescued Sasaki, I've been hosting her at my place. She still needs help with safety and her mental state. I'm just doing a noble thing for a friend." Kunikida 'hmphed' at the brunette. "You're too lazy and irresponsible. Besides, a pretty woman like her probably has a boyfriend." 

"Nice try, but I know she's single. She broke up with her boyfriend. Kunikida, now's your chance!" I shook my head at the two males. They do know she's still sitting there, right? I coughed onto my fist and looked at Atsushi. He looked nervously around him. "Listen, Dazai. I'm here to full you in on what's going on, because you skipped the emergency meeting." Dazai slid down the couch and mumbled insolently. "I already know what's going on. The Azure Messenger planted this bomb with a specific goal. To crush our agency." Sasaki had beads of sweat running down her cheek. "Should I be allowed to be hearing this? It sounds like you're discussing highly sensitive information." 

"Yeah. I'm with her on this one. You can't just talk about information that's not for the public ear, around strangers or even people who are not part of the agency." I strictly remind. "Now, Y/N. The attempt on her life makes her part of this case. Sasaki, do you mind telling me what class you teach at the university?"

"Social Phycology."

"We're having trouble cracking this case. I would love to hear your expert analyses." She moved her body in a thinking manner and looked off to the side. "The Azure Messenger might have something to do with The Azure King. Remember the Azure Flag terrorist incident? It could have something to do with the situation you're dealing with now." She stopped to take a breath and went on. "I know this is a stretch, but it might even be The Azure King himself. I think he blew himself up after his plan didn't work and he was cornered by the police, but it is possible he could have faked his own death and he still wants revenge."

"That could be. Do you know anything more, perhaps?" I leaned forward with both my arms resting on the table. I slowly looked her up and down like she was hiding something. "Did you know he was a former government official? He set off a bomb in a public facility and issued a manifesto." I narrowed my eyes. It may be she just looked into this, but how could she know this much? Something just doesn't feel right. "He hated criminals who invaded justice."

"But if The Azure King is actually alive, why would he attack the agency when we're on the side of the law." Atsushi joined the conversation, after not talking for a while.

"I don't know."

"Did you know the guy responsible for backing The Azure King into a corner was Kunikida? He located his hideout- Maybe he's the target of The Azure Messenger." Dazai pondered. 

"No. The Azure King is long gone. Military police confirmed his death."

"Just in case. You should be on your guard, Kunikida, until we find out who The Azure Messenger is. And we'll keep hiding Sasaki at my place." I scrunched my nose up. "Yeah, let's not do that. Who knows what perverted stuff you would do."
