The smell of smoke was in the air in the boat house. After washing their clothes the two made their way back into their regular hideout. They were currently sitting back in the boat, cuddled up next to each other, mostly because of Eddie. His arms were wrapped around Harper as she rambled on about some random subject that Eddie had already forgotten about. He was more focused on keeping himself controlled, he was so tempted to run his hands over her curves or trace her tattoos with his fingers. He wanted to feel her body shudder when his cold rings brushed over warm skin, he wanted-
Oh, sh*t.
He wanted her.
And he wanted her bad.
Harper hadn't noticed his dilemma and was still rambling on about whatever she was still talking about. Eddie looked down at the girl who was huddled up next to him. Her hair perfectly framed her face which he was so tempted to hold, freckles dusting her slightly rosy cheeks, and her lips-
Her lips.
Eddie turned his face away from her, stopping himself from doing anything irrational. There was no way that she liked him anyways. She was too good for him, and besides the way that she and Steve acted? They probably had a thing for each other. Eddie turned back to Harper, his grip tightening around her waist, but that didn't matter right now, Steve wasn't here. And Harper was talking to him.
No one else.
She shot up from her position turning to face Eddie, "What if we snuck into my house?" She giggled.
Eddie's hand dropped from her waist due to the position change and rested next to her thigh, "What if we get caught?" He asked, clenching his fist to keep himself from grabbing her thigh.
Harper rolled her eyes, "It's only one night, I don't really feel like sleeping in the boat tonight and I definitely don't trust Rick's bed." Harper turned to Eddie who seemed skeptical about the thought of sneaking in, "Don't be a pussy." She said, her voice low.
Eddie felt his face heat up at her tone of voice.
"Besides, I need to let my parents know I'm still alive." She shook her head, "Thank goodness it's spring break. Maybe my parents will believe me if I say I was at Robin's." Harper shrugged, hopping out of the boat and heading towards the door.
Eddie shook his head, "How are we even gonna get there?" He asked, climbing out of the boat and following her quickly. She swung open the door and walked towards the front of Rick's house.
"Voila!" She said, gesturing to her bike, "Robin, brought my bike. That means I can take trips home if I need." Harper bent over to pick up the bike before tipping it upwards, "And it even has those things that someone can stand on the back."
Eddie chuckled, "We are gonna look so dumb."
"Yeah, you will." Harper nodded, "Don't worry, we're gonna take the trail in the woods behind my house because I don't wanna know what will happen if you get seen."
Eddie turned to her, "Wait, I'm on the back of the bike?" He asked, pouting slightly.
Harper swung one leg over the bike, "Yep. I don't trust you to drive my bike." She explained before sending him a look to rush him.
"Fine, geez." He hopped on the back of the bike before Harper started peddling.
After taking the regular road at Lover's lake the two diverted their path into the woods, and sure enough, there was a trail. It went on for a bit of time but eventually led straight to Harper's home. She and Eddie hopped off the bike and Harper carefully tipped it onto its side, leaving it in the woods.
