You walked into the busy city. There were lots of people around, carrying new shipment and loading heavy crates into wagons. Busy as it was everyday. Multiple conversations buzzing all around you. You smiled at every passing face as you walked over the pavement floor. Your white floral dress moving as the wind did.

You were walking to your spot you shared with him, promising to meet each other there everyday. A slight breeze was picking up, ruffling the white flowers you had in your hands.

It was a perfect day. The sun shone brightly over the city and there was a warm breeze brushing your (h/c) hair slightly off your shoulders. Walking away from the city, the loud conversations were now whispers in your ears as you walked farther. You walk onto the bed of grass and towards that one tree that stood alone in the open field.

You walked towards the little hill that gave you a beautiful overlook of the area. Where the city's loud noises and loud conversations were muffled by the winds constant breeze over the trees leafs. There, that oak tree stood, towering over you giving you shade. You take a seat on the soft bed of grass beneath the shade and set the flowers down on your lap. You smile a small smile.

"This weather is perfect Armin, wouldn't you agree?" You say as you look at the gravestone with his name written on it.

The wind picked up slightly, ruffling the trees leafs. You felt like that was a yes.

"It would be more perfect if you were here..." you say sadly. Silence.

"I come here everyday to meet you Armin, just like we promised...remember? just like old times huh?" You chuckle a little thinking about those times when you two would come here and sit by the shade-side by side-and talk. Always a different topic every time you both came here. You play with the grass beside you, missing his presence, missing his cheesy puns, missing those blue eyes that gave you butterfly's, just missing him.

You look up at the blue sky.

"The sky reminds me of your eyes Armin. Every time I look up I feel like you're with me." you smile. You look back down hoping he would be there, smiling like he always did.

"I still remember every conversation we had..." you say to the wind, hoping it would answer you. hoping he would answer you.

"You promised me, you promised you wouldn't leave me." You say. You close your eyes remembering.

You run. You run as fast as you could. Thinking that if you ran fast enough, maybe you could leave this place behind, and forget about it, like a bad memory.

You run not knowing where to go but any where than there. You pass buildings and shove your way through crowded streets, hot tears streaming down your pale face as you ran. You reach an open field and find a single tree planted sitting alone.You run to it and fall to your knees, crying.

*flashback*

"I'll be back, alright (y/n)? I promise." Your mother asks as she hugs you. You nod knowing your mother always kept her promises.

"I have my lucky necklace, it'll keep me safe." she assures you and tucks her silver necklace back under her shirt. You nod. You give her one last hug. She waves back as she joins her squad.

Outside you could hear people cheering. Knowing that sound, you knew the survey corps have returned. Excited, you run to your window and await your mothers arrival. In the huge crowd outside you could see the heads of some of the soldiers. Their faces showing pain and agony, some had bandages wrapped around them, others were in the back of wagons trembling. A slight worry fell over you but you remember your mothers words before she left.

Your eyes scanning the faces of the soldiers looking for your mother.

You hear a knock at your door. Thinking it was your mother, you run to open it. Expecting to be greeted by your mother and her smiling face you are greeted by Mark and Colin-who are from your mothers squad since you knew them both very well.

"Hey!" You say happily. They exchange worried looks.

"What's wrong? Wheres mum?" You ask as you look behind them expecting your mother to be there smiling like she always did when she got back from a mission. She wasn't there.

"Er-(y/n)..." Colin begins. You give them confused and worried looks.

"What's wrong?" You ask now deeply worried.

"Your mom...she-we were surrounded and she-she...." Mark sighs trying to find the right words, his eyes looking glassy from the tears that were about to fall from his brown eyes that used to show happiness, but now showing hurt and sorrow.

Your eyes scan their faces looking for their words. You were afraid she hadn't made it back. She was all you had left after your father died. You couldn't afford to lose her.

"There were titans, surrounding us...and she-she tried to save us, but...she...couldn't save herself..." mark finishes. Tears streaming down both the men's face.

"She sacrificed herself to save us...im so sorry.." Colin says with a slight crack in his voice.

Your heart sinks. Your eyes widen.
Mark pulls out a letter from the survey corps and your mothers necklace.

*flashback ends*

she was all you had. The only family you had left, and now she was gone.

More tears continue to make their way down your face and fall onto the grass. You lay down on the bed of grass, tears streaming down your face. You grab a fist full of your hair and tangle your fingers within it. Sobbing loudly.

"No no no no no no! She-she can't be!" You repeats to yourself denying to believe any of it. Thinking maybe it's some kind of sick dream. You sob wishing you could wake up to this nightmare. It was real. She really was gone, and now you were all alone.

"A-are you okay?" A voice asks and you jump up in surprise. You turn to the owner of the voice, with a slight hope it was your mother asking. Instead, A blonde blue eyes boy was standing there.

But sorry again for not posting in like 2,000 centuries! Forgive me but I'm trying, I have loads of things I need to do during the end of this semester cause ya know I'm going to high school!!
