the judge sighed as he banged down his gavel, attempting to get the court's attention, it somewhat worked

'will the witness please refrain from harassing the prosecution?!'

At this point, phoenix was wondering if he could take the murder weapon and use that to kill oldbag, and then have miles help him hide the body

 the case, unfortunately, had oldbag as a witness, and like all the other times, she was being a huge pain in the ass, but miles had the worst receiving end of it, it's not fun having a creepy, ugly old lady obsessing over you,

miles kept cringing away and trying to get her to shut her mouth, but  nothing worked, at this point, this had been going on for over an hour-long, of oldbag being a nuisances to everyone, phoenix was comtplating on what to do, he pondered for a moment before he came up with an idea to piss off oldbag

'HEY!! OLDBAG!!'

miles had never been more grateful for phoenix's bluntness and rudeness, oldbag frowned and shot her head at him, clearly upset at being interrupted

'What you whippersnapper?!!'

'shut the fuck up already!!, we have a fucking case to get on with and your ass is wasting our damn time!!'

she rolled her saggy eyes at him

'oh please, you can clearly see my edgy-boy is enchanted by my beauty?!'

'he's literally cringing away from you dumbass!!, he's not interested in you!!'

oldbag huffed, crossing her arms

'oh yeah?!, how do you know?!'

'because he's gay you shithead and taken'

miles shot him a look of shock, taken?!, a few other people in the court began to mumble at the new information, ichika and tsurai shared a confused and intrigued glance, wendy eyes widened 

'W-What?! my edgy-boy!!, is in love with someone else?!!'

'I don't believe you!!, I dare you to prove it!!, prove that edgy-boy is infant taken!!'

phoenix shrugged as he walked over to egdeworth's bench, yanked him by his cravat and kissed him right on the lips, miles eyes widen as his cheeks turned a bright red, not sure on what to do, everyone in the courtroom gasped in shock at the sight, maya came out of her shock the fastest and cheered them on, a few other's joined in soon, ichika and tsurai grinned as they both high-fived each other, the judge and gumshoe were too stunned to speak

the kiss wasn't long, but it sure had made an effect on the court, phoenix pulled away, and before waking back to his bench he whispered to miles

'you owe me'

and with that, he walked back to his bench, completely unbothered, with the most neutral expression ever, silently enjoying oldbag's bewildered face

'Y-Y-YOU TWO ARE?!!,. ARE...TOOOOGEETTHER?!!!'

phoenix shrugged and nodded

'yeah'

oldbag was in such shock, they had to postpone the trial until tomorrow

while phoenix and maya were just chilling in the lobby on the sofa when miles marched right up to him

'WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT?!'

he cried out, his cheeks were still red from the whole incident, phoenix simply looked up at him

'a favour, you're welcome'

'WHY DID YOU KISS ME IN THE MIDDLE OF THE TRIAL?!'

'to piss off oldbag, and it worked, and now she won't harass you anymore, you really should be thanking me'

'THANKING YOU?!!, NOW BECAUSE OF YOUR STUNT, I HAVE TO EXPLAIN TO ALL MY CO-WORKERS THAT WE ARE NOT A COUPLE!!'

'seems like a personal problem, you still owe me shithead'

he flipped him off with his middle finger as he walked off, maya giggled and followed behind him, when they got back to the office, maya went out to go get them food, while phoenix sat on the couch, blushing red at the memory of kissing edgeworth

'whao, gotta admit, i didn't see that coming from you'

he groaned at the familiar voice of his best friend, who was currently sitting on the black lounge chair, grinning ear to ear, phoenix glared as he crossed his arms

'don't!!'

he muttered, ichika as usual, never listened

'soo...how did he feel finally getting to kiss your crush?~'

phoenix felt his face get hotter as he yelled
