Y/D had the ship to himself. Everyone was either recharging or out somewhere. He walked into the control room and looked around, making sure no one was inside before sitting at his station.
"Let's see what you've been up to Teletraan." He said aloud, though mostly to himself. He clicked around on the screen and found nothing. "Tsk. You've been bored just like me.." He thought for a second. "Teletraan 1, play Earth music."
"What genre?" He asked. Y/D thought for a moment.
"Something calm." He answered finally. Soft sounds came from all around him as he propped his feet on the dash. "You have no idea how much we count on you, Teletraan."
"I could not agree more." He replied. Y/D stared at the panel with a confused look.
"You can speak freely?" He asked.
"Affirmative." Y/D let out a hum of acknowledgment.
Both sat in a comfortable silence as Y/D slowly drifted off into his thoughts. He always felt like he had a connection to the intelligent computer, but he also always reminded himself it was just an AI. Nothing more. No emotions. No reactions. But here he was, having a 'conversation' with it-..him.
"You are awfuly quiet, Y/D. Is everything alright?" Teletraan asks. The large screen in front of Y/D showed a circular shape with soundwaves coming off it as Teletraan speaks.
"Yeah. I'm good."
That was the truth. But he couldn't help but feel butterflies every time he spoke. Teletraan's voice wasn't deep, but it wasn't high, either. Right in the center. He found it attractive, nonetheless, but its not like he could say that out loud. What are you thinking?! Cybertronian and a Cybertronian computer? There couldn't be a worse combination.
Y/D stood and stretched, walking over to the small table at the end of the control panel where a few small containers of energon sits. He drank two, knowing full well it might get him a little tipsy. But, he didn't care.
The stress of this war was getting to him. He couldn't recharge properly, which Ratchet often scolded him for. They lost a teammate recently and he was a close friend, so there was also that.
But overall, he just wanted the war to end. Didn't everyone? He wasn't the only one who lost someone close, so he couldn't think that. He wasn't the only one with problems.
"Y/D, if you drink another, you will become drunk." Teletraan warned. Without thinking, he had drank almost five cups of high grade energon.
"Slag.." He stumbled over to his seat and gently sat down. "Sorry. I was in my processor. Wasn't paying attention." The seat began to vibrate, soothing Y/D's aching back struts.
"It is quite alright. Please attempt to recharge. I will wake you if I find anything to your interest." The AI states. The large screen disappears and displays a radar, along with Cybertronian code.
"Thanks, Teletraan." He replies.
Yes. I really like this one.
