JULIAN'S POV:

The door closed and it was just me and her in the room. I couldn't help but admire how her smallest action emphasizes in that hugging dress of hers that, for sure has distracted me a lot by now.

I took a step close to her and just like I thought she would, her face got red with intimidation. Her eyes did flicker with that closeup view but stayed determined as she stared down in me, moving her glossed red lips slowly.

"I need a favour from you. "

"Hmm... What is it? " I whispered to her while not trying to loose my composure, any moment.

"Once I get my first payment. I'll move out of the Mansion."

I set my eyes at her with a frown, not expecting this statement that sent me in complete chaos once again. Why is this girl so difficult to convince?

"I can't do it anymore. I feel guilty for tricking everyone, your mom, dad.... I know once I leave, it'll be all fine, everything will be back, as it was. I still have time to save this lie. ”

"With that confidence, I would never say something that I didn't know anything about " I shushed her as she looked away intimidated immediately.

I could see her naive self talking for even thinking that things can go normal after leaving the Mafia. That is where it gets tragic. Even if she left, I would never chase her but right now, she's in danger that she's unaware of and as the head of my family, I can't let any mishap take place, at least under my watch.

"I'm afraid I can't let you do that. "

Her small face turned fierce at once and I knew her claws were out for the attack. As much as I would like to admire more of it, I looked away, sighing.

"It's not about hurting anybody else. If you leave, you'll be the one getting hurt, Sweetheart. "

Her lips parted to rebel but then she calmed, letting her pouty face down to face the floor. Her thoughts drew her in a tug of war once again and her eyes rested in the void for a moment.

"I'll be safe. You can't protect me forever. "

How her words break as she recites it all to me. She's so thoughtful about everything else other than her own safety and then she wants to move out.

"I'll be moving out by the end of the month. " she declared and I dared not to speak against her in that confidence she wore, yet I wasn't in favour of what she was upto either.

HEAVEN'S POV:

With all my strength, I stood up for myself for the first time, in front of him. He didn't seem to feel anything, like not even a word I said, hit him. So calm and stable, just staring deep down my soul.

His expressions took a turn and he stepped towards me eyeing me top to bottom.

"So... Just twenty more days with me? "

I felt a hint of flirt through his words, making me feel a certain type of way that already persuaded my body to answer his question. But I'm not here for that. This is what I've to avoid. This charm that is now getting me worried about myself and my actions. But I can't blame myself for not thinking straight when I can barely think.

I just closed my eyes for a moment and inhaled deeply, wishing for some fresh air to lighten the dense thoughts in me but rather I could smell his Cologne and it was evident he's close to me, close enough to have his body pressed against me.

My breathe hitched and now I dared not to open my eyes. Is he even predictable? A moment he can freeze my body with those icy cold stares and then the next, burn holes through it with this closeness.
