We all begin to load into the cars as everyone seems to be busy on their phones or talking between the many guards.
I take my phone out and go through TikTok however, I only watch 2 videos before we are ready to go.
"We are going now guys, make sure you have everything." Dad announces as I quickly pick my purse up which is black and has gold YSL.
This is one of the bags I got while shopping with the boys when I first came.
Inside my bag, I hold some makeup, my phone and a small pocket knife I found in the dinning room today. (I added the knife in the last chapter and this chapter because I felt like it.)
Maybe I shouldn't have brought that along but I wanted to feel extra safe.
The car starts to move as I continue to think about how this mafia ball is going to go before someone says something.
"What are you thinking about?" Lorenzo inquires giving me his full attention as I turn to him.
"I'm just a bit nervous." I shrug sending him a smile to show I'm okay.
"Do you know our cousins will also be there today." He changes the topic making me grateful as a new conversation bursts throughout the car from that 1 comment.
"Finally we haven't seen them in soo long." Luca sighs happily as I giggle at his childish behaviour.
"How long are they staying this time?" Matteo asks looking at his phone.
"I don't know why don't you ask when we get there?" Angelo says while typing on his phone.
I swear he never finishes his work, he is either in his office or on his phone all the time. I wonder if he gets bored of it.
"Angelo do you like being a mafia boss?" I randomly ask out loud pausing everyone's conversations as I almost see him stop breathing for a second.
They are soo fucking dramatic.
"Umm how about you just call me a business man instead or something." He comments not actually replying to my question.
"Okay do you like being a business man?" I inquire making a quote gesture while saying 'business man' however for some reason this makes everyone burst out laughing.
Why is everyone laughing?
Without realising, I pout now feeling embarrassed as I face the other way as everyone gathers them self's again.
