RACE 2 - Max Verstappen

Daniella's excitement grew by the second as she and Max arrived in Ibiza and are now on their way to the villa that they booked for the week. Max can't stop smiling every time he looks at his girlfriend. He can tell she is in love with the place and the bright smile on her face was more than proof.

"I am already in love with this villa," Daniella said as they both unloaded their luggage from the car.

"Little big for just two people, don't you think?" Max let out a laugh as he helped Daniella with the bags. He was not wrong. The villa was big, had more rooms than enough rooms for at least four more pairs, a swimming pool, and according to Daniella, the best part is that the beach is very close and they can just walk there.

"No," Daniella shook her head and smiled. "It's perfect for us." She put her arm around Max's waist and he kissed her.

They opened the door and stepped inside, dragging their suitcases with them.

"See.. This place is beautiful," Daniella commented as she looked around, pleased with her vacation planning. "We are going to have so much fun..."

Before she could finish the sentence a gasp left her lips as Max picked her up in his arms, taking her by surprise.

"Max.." She can't help but let out a giggle as she loosely wrapped her arms around Max's neck.

"We are going to have so much fun," Max repeated Daniella's words before giving her a passionate kiss. Daniella can feel him smirk as their lips touched, immediately knowing what was on his mind.

"Shall we go to the bedroom?" Daniella smiled as they pulled away from the kiss.

"Why? We have the whole place to ourselves."

"I warned you not to check social media," Max said as he joined Daniella by the pool.

The sun was setting down and the view was beautiful but Daniella was missing it while she was trying to process all the news from the past few days. She promised herself to stay away from social media but it only lasted a few days.

"What is Fernando thinking?" Daniella asked as Max sat behind her and pulled her against his chest, resting his chin on her shoulder so that he could get a clear view of her phone screen. "Moving to Aston Martin...and... oh poor Lance, he won't be able to keep up with Fernando."

"They are going to crash into each other," Max commented.

Daniella couldn't help but agree with him.

"So Piastri is getting the Alpine seat I guess..." She added but she spoke too soon. She made one more scroll and found another post.

Both Daniella and Max were speechless as they went through the post. Going through how Alpine announced Oscar Piastri as their driver for the next season and how the said driver denied the announcement after a few hours and further announced that he won't drive for the team next year.

"I am missing all the drama..." Daniella mumbled and Max couldn't help but let out a chuckle.

"You are speaking as if there is any shortage of drama in your life," Max replied as he kissed her cheek from behind.

Daniella rolled her eyes and playfully hit him, causing him to let out a laugh as a reaction.

"Oh no... Piastri is going after Daniel's seat.." Daniella almost couldn't believe what she was reading.

"Can he do that?" Max asked, looking confused. "Daniel's contract with McLaren ends next year. He is driving for them till then..."

"I had a contract with RedBull as well but...now I am in Merc so..." Daniella pointed out. "Now I feel bad about ignoring Daniel's calls."

Daniella and Max shared a look, both confused and worried about their friend. They both silently came to a decision to call Daniel and check up on him.

Max patiently waited and listened to the conversation between his girlfriend and his friend. When Max called him Daniel sounded tired and stressed. After filling the couple with the recent updates Daniel asked to talk to Daniella to get an idea and advice about his contract since she has gone through it last year with Red Bull, but her case was the opposite. Instead of the team decided to let her go it was her who decided to break the contract and move to a different team.

"Okay, I will give my lawyer's number to you but please don't flirt with her," Daniella warned the McLaren driver. "She is married and has two kids."

Max chuckled and shook his head as Daniella gave him an annoyed look.

"Yes I know you will make a good stepdad, Daniel... but please not my lawyer," Daniella once again warned her friend. "I can't afford to lose her."

After a few more minutes the call came to an end and Daniella put down the phone. She let out a deep breath as she went and sat next to Max.

"I feel bad for him but my god that guy gets sidetracked a lot," She huffed as Max gently squeezed her hand.

"So he is leaving McLaren?" Max asked, wanting to know every detail.

"He is not sure yet," Daniella replied as she looked at Max. "He wants to have a meeting with Zac first but we all know Zac has promised the seat to every young driver he has met. I think it will be better for him if he leaves."

Max nodded, agreeing with Daniella. Both of their attention was diverted when Daniella's phone started ringing.

She checked the caller id and gave Max a look.

"It's Lando," She informed him before declining the call.

Before the summer break started she asked her intrusive friends not to call and interrupt her holiday. Daniel was an exception, but she is sure Lando is calling her to annoy her.

"It's a relief none of the drivers are here in Ibiza," Max let out a laugh, not wanting to spend the break with no one else other than Daniella.

"Oh no.." Daniella's eyes went wide.

"What... what's wrong?"

"I told Daniel where we are."

"We might as well book his ticket then," Max sarcastically said.

A/N: So Dani and Max are in Ibiza now... and enjoying their time there. 

Dani and Max are worried about Daniel... and Daniel now knows where they are👀😅

what do you think will happen next??? 

Can someone suggest some fluffs for me to write about the couple while they are in Ibiza? I just suck at fluff (angst comes naturally to me😅)

Silly season: I read somewhere that Daniel has set 21 million for McLaren to buy him out of his contract.

 And that Alpine might sue Oscar Piastri. 

If Oscar gets the McLaren seat then for sure McLaren will go bankrupt
