Graduation was finally here, nervous as heck only for having to walk the stage, but excited to finally have highschool over with.
You and Ed talked about your plans and you decided to also look for a summer job, just after you have a short well needed break after all the anxiety and shit these past couple of weeks have given you.

Standing infront of your mirror pulling out two strands of hair at the sides of your face finishing off the simple low bun hairstyle you finally decided on.
"Oh y/n...you look gorgeous"
Your mom says standing in your doorway,you look over and smile at her as she walks over to you standing behind you in the mirror
"...I wish dad was here to see us graduate."
You say looking down at your hands, not meaning to put a downer on the mood, your mom rubs your arms softly
"He would be standing up making a load of noise for the both of you, he'd be SO proud sweetheart..."
She adds kissing your head

**Front door knocks**

"That's probably Eddie..."
You say checking your dress in the mirror one last time
"I'll go answer it, meet you down?"
You mom asks walking to your door giving you a soft smile,you nod before she heads down.
You pick up your grad gown and cap from your bed which you'd put on when at school, then head out quietly walking down the stairs hearing your mom and Eddie chat, you see the back of him and smile at how handsome he looked in a suit even from the back, he had on what you picked out the other night....his only pair of black non ripped dress pants that he obviously had to add his metal chains to, your dad's black and white striped dress shirt and a black blazer, already wearing his grad gown you knew he probably spent half hour "flying" around his room pretending it was a cape which made you smile to yourself as you walked down

He turns around hearing you come down the last couple steps, his eyes slowly widen and a smile creeps across his lips as he sees you in the dress again, hearing him let out a shaky sigh like he was nervous, your mom goes into the kitchen giving you both a moment.
"You look real handsome Ed"
You say smiling standing infront of him by the stairs, the poor guy needed a moment as he shook his head out of his trance like state and smiled bigger at you
"I've - I've already seen it but, it still gets me..."
He laughs a little scratching his cheek
"Absolutely beautiful..."
He adds leaning over kissing your cheek

"So uhhh guess what"
Eddie says smiling at you holding his hands down infront of him, making him look all innocent and shit
"Well by the look on your face, something good I hope...?"
You ask, Eddie replies real fast right after you
"I GOT THE JOB BABYYY!"
He shouts throwing his arms up in the air
