This is how I'd imagine dream would get patches in an alternate universe

Dream and y/n had plans to have a picnic today but those plans were shattered once they woke up and it was cold and rainy outside , there y/n lay in bed while staring at the ceiling waiting for dream to finish using the bathroom so that they could cuddle, suddenly she was pulled by her legs ~ dreaaammm~ she whined as she came face to face with him , ~ ok I know I said we were gonna stay inside and cuddle all day buuuutttt I found a cute cat cafe about an hour away from us and I was wondering if you wanted to go " he was as he caressed her face , she was rolled her eyes playfully and pretended to think for a second ~ mmmmm all right , let me get ready tho , I cant go in this ~ she said pointing at her outfit which consisted of one of his shirts and some panties ~ mmm I think you look good like that ~ he said with a smirk ~ ugh you plan a date and now you wanna be horny ~ she groaned playfully ~ only for you princess ~ he says in a breathy tone ~ alright , baby as much as I'd love for you to eat me out right now , I have to get ready ~ she said as she gave him a kiss and went to get ready

After some deliberations and multiple "DREAM" 's y/n decided to go with a nice dark green turtleneck , a blue studio ghibli cardigan , some cute mom jeans , her dark green customized converse , her hair was in * whatever style you want * and to top it off she had her studio ghibli socks pand earrings on , dream came in and he had a crewneck hoodie on , some black pants , his also also customized converse and some chains and rings , " damn baby you look good and here I was thinking my outfit was good "you said as you walked up to him and pressed a kiss on his cheek " oh I know , but seriously princess you look amazing " he laughed as he grabbed his keys

The car ride was honestly just annoying because dream wouldn't stop whining like a kid asking "ArE wE tHeRe YeT 🙃" even tho he was driving ( ¿?) But we got there safely and we were ready to see some gattos ( that is spanish for cats ) , surprisingly there were only two other people there , but tbh we preferred it that way , We got in , ordered a few things got told the rules ofc and that some of the cats were up for adoption which dream didnt bat an eye at but made me mentally smirk , we payed and found a nice place to sit , at first no cats came near us but then we decided to go up to them , we met alot of cats , and fed them many treats

Once our drinks we ordered were done we sat and drank them but oddly enough one cat in particular just came up to dream and curled up in his lap while trying to rub its face on his hands , my heart exploded , drean looked so cute with the cat , I then decided to try and pet it and it started making biscuits on dream , that's when I knew that I wanted this cat , so while dream wasnt paying attention I went up to the counter and asked the workers if the cat was available for adoption and what its name was , that's when I was told that yes it was up for adoption and that her name was patches because she has patches of different colored fur , with that info I went to dream " dream please? " "no we dont need a cat" " but I'll take care of her " "what about when we travel ? " " I'm sure sap wouldn't mind babysitting her , please , babe it will make me happy " and that was all it took " alright , only because I love you so damn much and I'd do anything to make you happy , now how do we adopt her ?"

After the whole process was done there she was little " patches wastaken " , infact once she got her collar it actually had her name as " patchy wastaken " and as much as dream denies it , he loves that damn animal to death , but she had other thoughts , as soon as patches laid eyes on sapnap she " fell inlove " with him , you swore she loved him more than you and dream but in the end you wouldn't have it any other way because you loved her , dream loved her and sap loved her so it was a win win
