sitting on the counter, she sat there staring at the oven window, watching those damned brownies bake. yes, she could be doing anything right now and wait for her timer to be done. but she's impatient and liked stopping the timer at one second. it was 100% unreasonable and 100% wasn't efficient, yet here she sat.

she wondered what type of bullshit she could make up to justify how the brownies got made, why all the baking supplies are out, and how new groceries, drinks, and snacks were in the kitchen. it was amazing how she'd be able to get away with things just by knowing how easy it was to convince the girls anything. it's not like she was calling them dumb or anything. just a little bit knocked up in the head and a bit naive, and a bit unknowing to their surroundings.

its like they're all bad or anything, they just don't have the brightest eye when it came to this stuff. this stuff called being lied to their faces in the most obvious way. she assumed it was only because they trusted her authority. causing this ease when it came to being fed lies in the most blatant way possible. it wasn't like she was trying that hard..

seeing the timer go down to 10, she dropped off and waited patiently at the button on the oven screen and waited for the sweet number of one. pausing it and turning it off without hearing it blare in her ears. grabbing her favourite oven mitts and carefully grabbed the glass tray. putting it on the stove top to cool off.

"i do not have the fucking strength for this." she gasped out, not used to using one hand for everything. grabbing a toothpick, she stuck it into the brownies and hummed happily when nothing stuck to it. going to turn off the oven and clean up just before the girls were intended to come home.

man, being left alone at home was relaxing, why don't people do this more often? right, jobs. but i digress. hopping back onto the counter, she just sat there. for another 3 minutes for these damned brownies to cool off so she wouldn't unsuspectingly burn her only free hand. injuring an arm and then burning the other. not the initial plan to be fair

"unnie, we're home- ooh is that brownies." the girl called walking over to poke at it like it'll react. "i'll cut slices later and everyone can have one." she nodded smiling to them as they entered. "i call showering first!"
"you little brat! i'll eat you!" swatting the hands away from the uncut brownies, she shook her head from disappointment at how dysfunctional everyone was when they were together at home.

"unnie, how did you get ingredients to make this.. we haven't done grocery shopping since you were gone.." the youngest muttered, skeptical at how this could happen. "move, i need to cut it or else someone will cut it uneven and then everyone will whine." shooing them away, she continued to stare with furrowed eyebrows as she made her way to her room. "this house." she tsked at how they didn't do anything.

cutting into the brownies, she smiled at the result of it all. she loved stealing her parents' recipes for sweets. aka her mom who runs the ko bakery. her successful parents and now she's sitting here eating her mom's recipe with a cast. damn being injured is a hit or miss, she could be playing injured brat and beg for anything she wanted right now.

but no she was sitting here having to deal with her members coming out of their rooms later and then saying, "you weren't suppose to do anything seokyu!" she pouted, taking a brownie willingly without asking nor questioning. "well what am i suppose to do for 2 hours if i'm not allowed to do anything?" she raised an eyebrow.

realistically it wouldn't take her 2 hours to make brownies or any baked treat. but she was very much limited and very much easily distracted. by exo playing on the speakers while she baked. now it wasn't her fault entirely, it was exo's fault for making bangers. like how was she suppose to control that? and one thing led to another and here she was acting like she wasn't in a group chat with baekhyun. it was like when she saw an exo-L talk about how she learned that she was cousins with baekhyun.

lowkey embarrassing when you can mention that to the idol as a fellow exo-L. it was such a funny memory in hindsight. what she couldn't control is her little loud mouth. gotta self entertain somehow you know? it's surprising what shit she had to witness. being anywhere near a fandom on the internet seemed like a nightmare she was 100% willing to challenge. only luckily she didn't start nor engage in fanwars. with the fear of slipping up and dropping something about these people's faves.

genuine fear she had to endure. will be talking shit about someone on her burner with the knowledge that she could just expose any idol she wanted as long as she's pissed off enough to go through with it. not trying to get some scandal or rumour starting and then watch my career come and go like the wind, no no, not today. she really testing the waters with these secrets. what could she let slip without getting it trending. always a wonder she had. always a stupid what if that lived comfortably in her head.

then she remembered that her manager would be at her throat for anything she let leak. while under a big three company like sm, with poor management to begin with. she was really testing something out, and that would be the speed in which they resolve her removal from the group. obvious joke as you can tell. she could go for some boba right now.

"unnie, remember to sleep soon so you don't stay up too late." seeing them begin to go in their mini groups to talk and mess around. she smiled sadly and went to lay in her room. removing her sling, she contemplating her time again. she was truly loved wasn't see. she had everything she ever wanted. but felt empty. the injury not helping with anything either.

she was just gonna sleep right here, and not say anything. just fall asleep and wake up the next day to something she won't even able to do. what a life to live right? what a life to live.

—morning

already hearing the noise outside her door, she was already losing it. pulling herself out of bed, she was ready to start yelling and scolding because of how much she could not deal with this. she was a light sleeper and wasn't enjoying being woken up so early when she had no schedules to attend to. she wasn't even allowing herself to show up on instagram lives even if it was suppose to be full members.

she needed this resting period. she's been so god damn exhausted that she hadn't been able to get the greatest goodnights rest that she dreamed of. it was the period she could eat whatever whenever. she could go out for a run and not have to worry about making it on time for schedules. fuck the company. she was not having it right now. and wouldn't be having it for awhile.

there was still a lot of time till the comeback is rounding for everyone. she was just gonna rest. "lee yongmin, ahn chohee. shut. UP." she yelled opening her door to yell it and closing it so she could go back to sleep. hearing the dorm quiet down immediately as she laid back in bed. she could tell purely by vocal volume of who was causing all the noise. even if every member was screaming, she could 100% narrow down who it was.

she wasn't stupid. so they better keep their damned mouths shut already. it was definitely just because she woke up in immediate pain from her arm.
