I met you again today
Standing on a familiar street
The familiar charm
That i fell for in the first place
With a friend of mine
I grew apart from
I wonder if that is one
Of the many things you took from me
At first i thought
Maybe
I should stop and talk
But then I questioned myself
Whether there is anything
Left to discuss
And you didn't disappoint
As i walked by you didn't stop me
You didn't ask
If i was doing okay
If i was still in pain
You didn't even spare me a glance
I wouldn't lie and say
That it didn't sting
Because it did
I guess it's for the best that we ignore
Each other and the things that exist between us
We wouldn't wanna talk and fall into the same spiral again
Of recurring love and heartbreak
So i stealed my heart and refused to cry
And walked by you as
Strangers under the familiar sky
