( Since Atem is a bit of a rockstar in modern times, I would think this kind of music he would like. This music is also going to be later on for the story, when things get a bit crazy fun.)
( In this chapter I'm trying to put in some Ancient Egyptian language words I dug up, for people that didn't speak English or the reader would bump into. In my mind, Atem spoke quite good English because he spent so much time in our time with Yugi in the past, and learned it really well. He's a smart man I think.)
*Clop Clop*
We entered the palace walls again. Atem was surprised to see his royal court member Mahad and Diva outside. They were talking about something. Diva looked well, in his eyes. He was dressed in his modern Egyptian look. That teal blue trench coat with golden streaks.
"Oh my King!" Mahad's head shot up seeing us return.
"Iitti (Hello), there Diva. Are you feeling well?" Atem greeted Diva in part Ancient Egyptian. The young man knew of course.
"Iitti ( Hello) yes Pharoah, I am quite well." Diva smiled to Atem. His golden eyes landed on my form. "What of her?"
"She could use some healing herbs still. Mahad could you please?"
I was awake still, I tried to straighten up my back from leaning on Atem for a while. Mahad bows his head a bit and speaks something in Ancient Egyptian. Making me tilt my head. It must have been good things because Atem smiled lightly, as Mahad walked off.
"Is there something I can help with Pharoah?" Diva walked up next to us. I didn't say much, as I sat there quietly. "Take hold ___'s horse for me." Passing the reins to Diva Atem climbed off his horse, then looked up at me. "If you can wait a moment, in the shade I can lead you back once we put the horses inside."
"Sure." I slid off the horse, but Atem needed to steady me a bit as I landed on my feet. I was glad Diva was alright.
"We will be back," Diva said to me and gently walked off with Atem while leading my horse Prince. I slowly made my way to sit by the doorways. I slumped down on the stairs waiting for them to return.
Time ticked here, I see villagers below the steps walking by. A few glance at me, and nod their heads. Some stared at me wondering who I was. I sadly wasn't able to communicate with them much. I may have spent some time here before. I could only sometimes understand what they said in simple phrases. I wasn't able to reply though. Atem offered to teach me a bit of their language. Wanted that but, each time we tried he was always busy and didn't have much time to teach me.
Mahad was always training his magicians, sometimes Mana. I needed to catch up with Mana. She was almost the only female I got along with her. Besides Isis, who still I haven't seen since I came back.
Atem and Diva started walking back. The two of them looked so cool walking, talking happily, their shiny golden jewelry reflecting light.
"Ready to go?" Diva stood before me with his hand outstretched. Atem stood there waiting to see what I will do.
"Thanks, Diva." I let him pull me to my feet.
"Follow me then please, it would be best so you two don't get lost," Atem spoke in his soft deep voice. I glanced at him with a smile.
"This place is a maze," I comment. "Haha, yes that is true." Atem chuckled while touching his puzzle around his neck.
There was so much more I wanted to do, but I needed to heal first.
"Say..um Pharaoh." He tilted his head back wondering why I suddenly called him by that name. "May I have a bow and sword later on? I just thought it would be a good idea for me to practice more."
Diva gave me confused look. 'Why would she need those weapons?' Almost choking on air, Atem's one eye twitched. He didn't want to judge me in the slightest. He took a deep breath and spoke.
"You mean to say you want to train, for battle?"
"Well...more like self-defence. Plus if I'm hanging around here, I can...um." 'Protect him and Diva even the others. If needed' I didn't say the rest.
'I can something in her eyes, she is serious.'
"Very well, I'll do my best to find you a suitable weapon. You are right, duel monsters may be great, but there are only certain battles self-defence can do."
I was glad Atem understood. I couldn't recall if they knew that I know a bit about using a sword and a bow. I was a bit of a nerd on that subject. Though I never had to actually test it out before.
Just as we were about to enter Atem's room. I wanted to speak up about having my own room, but it was a bit...awkward at the time. Atem opened the door to his room, he held it open for Diva and I.
I stood there wondering if I should not go in.
"What is it____?" The spiky tri-toned hair man said. Diva also looked at me wondering what was up. "I...wanted to say..., but I'm not sure how. May I have my own room..?"
It sunk into both the boy's brains. I was right. Atem felt a small blush almost creep up on his face, for not realizing it sooner. He shakes his head lightly but lets out a smile. "I am so sorry..about that. If I knew you were uncomfortable I have done something about it sooner." Atem practically bowed his head to me.
"Ah eh? n-no don't bow to me..!" I was starting to worry about how apologetic he was. "N-no no, you can not bow to me." I walked painfully over and grabbed the guy by his shoulders and made him straighten up. "Do not bow to me, you have done nothing wrong Atem. I swear."
He only looked at me with his violet eyes wide, while Diva was very unsure of what to say. He was almost kinda flustered as well.
"Alright then if that's what you like, I won't bow to you. If you want a room though, I know the perfect spot though." He shut the door to his room.
"It's not far away. We are close by."
I began to sway a bit on my feet as we arrived at my new room. " Oh ____." Diva put a arm over t shoulder to help steady me. Atem unlocked the door.
This room was huge it even had a balcony. "My room is just on the side, so if you need anything I'm just a couple of steps away."
I smiled to Atem in thanks.
"My room is in the other hallway to the left." Diva stated.
"Cool."
"Well, I shall see to those healing herbs. You just relax." I tried to do as Atem wanted, but I got a small spike of interest in exploring. Even with my battered healing self. I had a balcony! and from the looks of the placement, I would climb up on the roof, for a fun lookout.
"I'll see you at dinner then ___." Diva walked away with Atem leaving me in my room. I wasn't going to climb up the. "Hehe.., finally." I grinned. It was time to make use of this trip to Egypt more fun.
