Even without Murdoc, we needed to make a new album, no matter how long it took. We wanted this album to be more laid back and relaxed, summer-y and fun. Ace brought a very funky vibe with his bass skills, Russel and Noodle did the usual, 2D seemed to have a creative peak with this album, he wrote most of the songs and helped everyone out with instruments. He even wanted to help me with keyboard stuff, he wanted this album to be a complete shift from Humanz, he even said it would be best to have more songs with just us than a ton of collaborators.
One song that really stood out to me was Tranz, with the way 2D wrote it and shared his vision, he wanted it to be similar to a drug trip for whatever reason, it was still really cool.
I remember he was very creative with the keyboard, "Here let me show you what I'm working with!" He said while walking towards me.
He then played this little riff and said, "That's going to happen after I sing the chorus!"
"Very nice 2D!" I said.
"Thank you love!" He then looked and me and caressed my cheek, it caught me off guard and I could feel my face turn red, plus I'm still not quite used to his bright white eyes.
With 2D's direction, this album was going to be amazing, I wonder if Murdoc knows we're doing this, and if so, I hope he's not mad or anything along those lines, in a strange way, I'm kinda worried about him.
