**Note- I made some slight adjustments to the last chapter. I would go back and read it!

Leah

"Halloween is tomorrow." Kayla exasperated.

I raised a brow, but didn't answer. I continued to write down my notes from my textbook.

We were currently seated outside at one of the available tables. We each had a free period and took advantage of it and decided to sit outside for a bit. The weather was starting to get colder, but not cold enough to make you stay in side.

The sun was shining in full forces, barely any clouds in the sky. The warm sun and cool weather was just the perfect combination. Something about it felt perfect.

"Halloween is tomorrow." She said again trying to catch my attention.

I decided to take the bait. "And?" I added.

"We should do something." She said with her hand resting on her cheek.

"Isn't our tradition to watch Halloween movies and eat so much candy till we burst?" I asked.

"Yeah and you know how much I love that." She said thoughtfully.

"You look forward to it every year." I told her. "You always always plan our movies for the night and get so much snacks. It's like you're feeding an army."

She smiled at the memory. "Yeah. How do we ever finish all that?"

I chuckled. "I don't know, I think it's something with Halloween. Like the holiday itself makes our stomachs grow twice the size."

"We turn in to vacuums." She laughed.

"It's in preparation for Thanksgiving." I told her.

"Yes! All that good food. I can't wait. I am just drooling thinking about it."

"One holiday at a time." I said bring her back from her day dream of turkey legs and mashed potatoes.

"Okay, fine. But we're watching Hocus Pocus first." She said definitely.

"I'm not complaining as long as we get to watch Us."

"But you hate scary movies and so do I." She stated.

"I know, but it's Halloween we need at least one scary movie."

"Leahhh." She whined. "I don't wanna."

"Scary movie in exchange for a bag of KitKats." I offered.

"Make if the big bag and you got a deal." She bargained.

"You got it."

"Then it's a deal."

"What's a deal?" I heard Nate said as he approach the table.

"Hey. What are you doing out of class so early?" I asked as he took a seat next to me. Our shoulders brushing slightly.

"The class was dismissed early and I saw you guys here." He answered. "Thought I would hang with you for a bit before the next class."
