Vanadey slumped onto her bed, her head in her hands as she thought about her almost brother-in-law.

"Ada?" The Doctor softly called whilst he gently knocked on the door to the room his girlfriend resided in. However, when the door was opened and an eye-welled-with-tears looking Vanadey stood opposite to him, he frowned and pulled her into an immediate hug. He stroked her back carefully whilst resting his head onto hers. "It's okay."

"It's not." Vanadey muttered, burrying her head into the Doctor's chest as the guilt rose more and more inside of the redheaded Time Lord. "It's my fault she-"

"I can't convince you to drop the unnecessary guilt," the Doctor began before wincing at his wording, "but i can assure you it was not your fault. Even if Amy cannot remember Rory, you can. I can. He still lives in our memories, and that's okay."

"I never forgave him..." Vanadey whispered whilst a tear fell down her cheek. She gasped and pulled away from the Doctor, walking away and towards her bed before she curled up into a ball on the bed and stared blankly at a photo she had of them. She had always had that photo of them, ever since they came back after the Angels incident.

"But i'm sure he knows you do now, right?" He asked, walking towards her and sitting next to her on the bed. He reached his hand out to the side, hoping she'd take it, but she didn't. So, he put his hand back into his lap and bit his bottom lip, unsure of what else to say to try and reassure the guilt-ridden girl. "Why don't we...go to an art gallery?"

"For what? To see the Mona Lisa? Oh wow, such a great piece of art." Vanadey quipped, which made the Doctor want to chuckle. Even when she was hurting emotionally, or physically, the girl beside him could always somehow make a sarcastic comment.

"I was more so thinking...Van Gogh?" At the Doctor's suggestion, Vanadey turned her head and smiled sadly at him. She had never seen Van Gogh's work in person, but she had once studied his work in her school that she used to go to...before she graduated. "Does that sound like a plan?"

"Sure." Vanadey shrugged before she leaned to her left slightly, her head coming into contact with the Doctor's shoulder. In return, the bow-tie wearing alien wrapped an arm around the girl's shoulders, trying to bring her some comfort.

"So, this is one of the last painting Van Gogh ever painted." The Tour guide said as he stood in front of a paining of a wheat field with crows flying away.

"Doesn't it look like the crows were flying from something?" Vanadey quietly questioned as she studied the art work. She used to take an online art class for fun when she was bored in th evenings.

"Those final months of his life were probably the most astonishing artistic outpouring in history." The Tour guide continued as he stepped aside, now near a self portrain of the artist himself. "It was like Shakespeare knocking off Othello, Macbeth and King Lear over the summer hols."

"That...doesn't make much sense." Vanadey muttered, not understanding the reference and comparison the tour guide used. She may have been a smart girl, but she was still easily distracted and confused. "And especially astonishing because Van Gogh did it with no hope of praise or reward."
