Chapter 12: You and I

I am sweating buckets. Yena had already given me the plans for today. I could not stop fidgeting while waiting for Chaewon to arrive at our destination. Moreover, this is my first ever date with someone. I checked my outfit time and time again in hopes that Chaewon would like it.

" Hey, Y/N. "

" I'm at a loss for words. "

" Do I look bad? "

I shook my head in disagreement. She does not look remotely bad at all. She was practically glowing with charisma. It made my heart skip a beat. I could not see Chaewon's reaction when the sunlight was directly above her. Furthermore, she was standing beside me so the shadows make it hard for me to look at her facial features.

" Y/N? "

" Let's go somewhere with some shade. "

" Sure. "

I think I'm prepared for every single situation. I followed Yena's instructions so I should be fine. This is going to be the day that I impress Chaewon.

" We should have gone out of the apartment from the start, you know? "

" Yeah, but I thought it would seem less romantic. "

" Who says that? "

I rubbed my nape in embarrassment. Chaewon giggled as the both of us started the date by having lunch together at a local café. To be very honest, Yena definitely picked this place cause it is aesthetically pleasing to the eyes. I know her too well. Upon entering, I see three girls that did not match the overall vibe of the café. They seem out of place. It has to be them.

" Have you decided on what to buy, Chaewon? "

" Hmm, there's too many choices! "

" Take your time, I'll order it for you once you're done deciding. "

Chaewon was frowning as she looked at the menu. Did I mess up already or is she stressed from all the food items in the menu? While waiting for her, I gave a quick glance towards the trio and they looked away as if they did not notice me at all.

" Aha, I have decided! "

" Alrighty then. "

" You don't mind if our drinks are the same right? "

She shook her head as she looked at the scenery outside the café. To be fair, it does have a spectacular scenery so I must thank Yena for that. I gave our orders to the cashier and I waited for it back at our table.

" This actually looks good. "

" It's exactly like the picture! "

" Hold on, let me take a picture of this. "

I took out my phone and took a picture of Chaewon posing with the food. I definitely need to set this as my wallpaper. Chaewon did the same thing for me and we began eating our meals afterwards.

" Y/N, say ahhh! "

" Woah, making advances already? "

" H-hurry up! "

Chaewon looked away as she fed her share of the meal to me. I returned the favour and gave her a taste of my meal as well. She liked it a lot more than her current one.

" You want my meal instead? "

" Yeah... "

" Here you go. "
