Scott sat in his dorm staring at nothing in particular. His thoughts were racing in his mind. Too much to process. The fox wanted Stiles. But his first thoughts went to Hope.

She could have died today. The Nogitsune...has power that far exceeds that of any supernatural creature. His claws, fangs, and his Oni blade...can kill anything and anyone. The killing effect of his claws are quick and nearly instantaneous.

He closed his eyes and let out a sigh. He leaned back on the bed and tried to sleep.

Hope sat by the window of her dorm and thought about Scott. He gave up killing the Nogitsune to save her life. Why? She shook her head before heading to bed.

Scott woke up to rays of light blinding his eyes. HE dressed himself before leaving the dorm.

"Vote for Lizzie for the Witch Faction of the Honor Council." Lizzie voiced nearby.

Scott ignored the girl walking passed her. "I have to test Landon? No. Find someone else to do it!" Hope exclaimed nearby. "You're the only one who can do it, Hope. I have to go." Alaric said before leaving.

Hope reentered the school and looked at Scott. "Hey, what was-" He started. "Don't talk to me." She snapped walking away. "Good talk." Scott whispered.

He shoved his hands into his pockets before sensing something familiar nearby. He slowed his walk to a stop before furrowing his brows.

"Scotty." A voice called out. Scott immediately lifted his head and turned around.

"M-Malia?" He sounded.

His former girlfriend and now currently blind packmate stood in the school. She wore a pair of faded jean shorts, brown leather boots, and red flannel plaid shirt with the sleeves rolled over the cuffs of the black leather jacket she wore beneath it.

Scott practically flew across the school and threw his arms around her, nearly tackling her to the floor. "Whoa! Holy shit! Scott!" She voiced. "Sorry. I just...I missed you." Scott explained with a beaming smile that he felt sad that Malia could not see anymore.

"I know. I've missed you too. But, listen, Scotty. I'm not actually here." She stated. "What?" Scott asked furrowing his brows.

"Save Stiles." She said before Scott jolted upright in the middle of the woods.

He breathed heavily as he looked around. To his right, he found a deer carcass that was torn open from the stomach. He finally noticed the dried blood on his arms. "What the-" She began confused looking around.

He must have shifted into the wolf when he fell asleep last night. He rose to his feet before heading back to the school as the wolf. He ran through the woods as black blur before stopping short at the cropping of the woods.

He searched for the window to his dorm before zeroing in on a window that was wide open, curtains flowing out of it. His room.

He ran at the school scaring a group of witches nearby including; Josie, Penelope, and Lizzie.

He leapt towards the wall of the building before rebounding and entering the window as his human self. He dressed himself before washing the blood off his hands as best as he could.

He left the same way he came and dropped to the ground and landed on his feet. He saw Landon and Hope sitting by the lake on the dock.

He felt oddly jealous but ignored it.

Scott had realized that Hope was avoiding him throughout the day. She didn't want to see him, look at him, talk to him, listen to him, or be near him.

The more she avoided him, the angrier he got. She didn't trust me, he thought.

***

Scott sat on the field looking at the sky before hearing a shout nearby. "This is all your fault!" It was Jed's voice. "Hey Jed, look--" Landon stated before crying out.

Scott got to his feet before running for the noise. He saw Jed pummeling Landon. "LET HIM GO!" Scott raged shifting mid-run and leapt at Jed, tackling him.

Scott threw Jed across the field before shifting back and looking at the bleeding, bruised form of Landon.

"Landon?" Scott asked. Landon groaned. "I've got you bud. Don't worry." Scott voiced before taking away his pain. Scott gritted his teeth as black veins traveled up his arms. He lifted Landon up and carried him inside.

He set Landon down on his bed in his dorm. "You're gonna be alright." Scott told Landon. "You...saved my life." Landon said smiling weakly before his eyes fluttered closed.

"I NEED SOME HELP IN HERE!" Scott shouted. The others and Emma ran into the dorm to see Landon hurt. "What happened?!" Emma asked looking over the unconscious Landon.

"It was-" Scott started before he was charged at by Rafael. "WHAT DID YOU DO?!" Rafael spat pinning him to the wall with glowing yellow eyes.

Scott flashed his own Alpha eyes. "Let. Me. Go." Scott warned. "Why did you do this?" Rafael asked. Scott pushed Rafael away.

Hope finally showed up to see LAndon in the bed and the remains of the stained blood on Scott's hand that he couldn't quite clean off.

"Hope, look..." Scott started. "Get out." She spat coldly. "Hope-" He began. "Get out and stay the hell away from me! You....monster!" She snapped.

Scott went silent before looking at Landon.

Everything will be fine, sweetheart. A familiar voice sounded in his thoughts. "Fine." Scott growled.

He grabbed his things and left.

He passed the disgusted looks on everyone's face before clenching his jaw and flashing red eyes as he shoved the doors open.

Scott threw his bag to the ground and stormed off into the woods. To find Jed.

He searched the forest before finding Jed sitting on a tree log.

Scott lunged at Jed and pinned him to the ground as a werewolf. As the Beast.

IF YOU WISH TO CONTINUE BREATHING, YOU WILL RETURN TO THE SCHOOL AND CONFESS WHAT YOU DID TO LANDON! IF YOU DON'T I WILL RIP YOU TO PIECES!!! The voice sounded in Jed's thoughts. Jed cried out in terror.

DO YOU UNDERSTAND?!  The Beast shouted.

"I understand!" Jed yelled before the Beast broke his leg.

THAT'S TO MAKE SURE YOU DON'T THINK ABOUT RUNNING.

***

Scott sat at the bus stop looking up at the night sky. The bus pulled up and he got on board.

"Where to, kid?" The bus driver asked. "Anywhere. Take me anywhere. Anywhere far from here." Scott answered before taking a seat. The bus drove down the street.

***

Hope couldn't believe what she had heard. Scott hadn't done anything. It was Jed. Scott saved Landon.

God, why was she so quick to place the blame on Scott?

Hope ran through the forest hoping to reach the bus station before it left with Scott.

"Please. Please. Don't be late. Still be there. Please still be there." Hope whispered before she reached the bus stop.

"No." She whispered. "I was too late." She added as she watched the bus drive off. She saw Scott in a window of the bus as tears rolled down her face.

She called him a monster. The last thing that she ever called him...was a monster.
