"Sova what the fuck happened there?!" Reyna cried as she hit the table with her fists.
"I don't know." Stuttering came in, making it difficult for me to speak.
"You." She placed her index finger and thumb on the root of the nose and closed her eyes. "You don't know?"
"My mind was fucked! I couldn't do anything!" I raised my voice at the mexican woman.
She freezed, staring at me with a concerned look. "What was going on in there Sova? You were acting differently." She folds her arms on her chest while speaking to me more calmly.
I had no intention in answering. Having milion thoughts in my head storming around was not helping me either.
"Answer me Sasha." Her voice was beginning to sound angry again.
"I ruined the whole match okay?! I just need some time alone to think." Leaving her without understandable reason was more than childish. After this uncomfortable conversation I went into the garden which was located at the back of our base. The cold breeze blew the strands of my hair out of my face immediately after I stepped out. I closed my eyes paying attention to the chilly air while standing there for a few minutes.
"What are you thinking about?" A sweet voice of the raven-haired woman made me smile a little. Just her presence convinces you that everything will be fine at some point. It felt like every worry I had in mind went away.
This is what I needed.
"About the last match." I said with an almost inaudible tone not sure how Sage will react.
"I saw it. Wanna take a walk around the garden?" I turned around, seeing the woman in her light black parka with blue elements on it, dark jeans and high boots. She always had a sense for fashion. I nodded in agreement waiting for her to go first.
"So." I started nervously. "You know exactly what happened?"
"Me or Brim have to keep an eye on you all. Things can go the wrong way anytime, that's how we stopped the match when Fade shot you." I gave her a look. "By mistake." Sage added and continued in her walk but I stopped.
"Ling, you know I would never lie to you, so I won't do it now when I tell you that I can't control myself around him. I don't think I am able to fight, not with him being near me. I don't think that it's safe for others to be in the same team as me." Dissapointment could be heard from my voice. "I wouldn't be surprised if you had to kick me out." Sage turned to me and placed one of her hands on my shoulder.
"You are one of our best radiants, Sova. I have no intention in removing you from the team, and neither does Brimstone. You need to remember that. The problem is that you are missing important parts in understanding what might be going on." She gave me a honest look and smiled.
'Missing important parts?' I was staring at the ground thinking about what the woman just said to me.
"I am not going to tell you which parts, you need to find out by yourself."
We walked through the whole garden separating our paths where we started. Ling said goodbye and left. I decided to stay there for a while trying to clear my mind.
It was an early evening when I sat on one of those benches. I leaned against the backrest and tilted my head slightly. Finally making up my mind.
"I need to talk to him."
