Chapter 4

Four months later

During these four months, Jaune has steadily adapt to his new surroundings and has learnt quite a lot about Earth. With these new knowledge, his score has also increase and has reached up to top 15 in exams. He had to thank Y/N, Khaizul and Mina for helping him to understand all the subjects. Today was just a normal day for Jaune passing classes hoping for lunchtime to arrive sooner. His personality hasn't changed much but there was still a slight of a change of how he acts. Jaune isn't afraid to make new friends, he now has the guts to make a stance against bullies even though they are stronger than him and his reaction time also improve. Jaune tune out from the lectures until the bell rang signalling the end of class

Teacher: Alright kids, be sure to prepare yourselves for the upcoming mid term exam

With that said everyone starts to pack their bags wanting to get out of class. As Jaune was packing his stuff Mina approach him

Mina: Hey Jaune, did you understand what I teach you yesterday?

Jaune smile at her as he slings his bag over his right shoulder

Jaune: Yup, it took some time but I've found a way to memorise it easier

Mina gives a small smile and sigh lightly

Mina: Good. At first, I thought that I left you struggling yesterday. I thought I failed to teach you...

She had a slight frown but was stop by Jaune patting her head

Jaune: Hey, it's alright. At least you help me out when I'm struggling and came to check on me. Plus, you explained in a much more simple term than the teacher does...

He sigh while thinking on how their math teacher explaining in a term where the poor students can't understand a single thing. Mina pout

Mina: Jaune, that's not nice to talk behind someone's back especially when they are teaching us

Jaune wave his hands dismissively

Jaune: Okay, okay, but can you blame me? I can't stay focus in his class

Mina shrugged her shoulders

Mina: No, I can't blame you for that but please try to stay awake as much as possible

She look at him with a cute puppy expression causing Jaune's heart to melt. He honestly couldn't resist her cuteness and thought that whoever is her boyfriend must be lucky

Jaune: Okay, I swear on my life that I'll pay attention to his class

He said jokingly which caused Mina to giggled at the silly joke. Jaune brought up his hand towards Mina which she responded by giving her bag to him. This has become a daily thing for them with Jaune carrying Mina's bag as they walk to class together. As they kept doing this, most people speculate that they are dating or something however, they are further from the truth at least that's what Jaune thinks but Mina silently wishes the other way around. Their next class is Science and are heading to the lab but had to make a pit stop at their lockers. Mina opens her locker and grab some notes for Science with Jaune staying close to her while whistling to a tune

Mina: You really like that whistling tune, huh?

She said as she closed her locker before opening Jaune's locker

Jaune: I guess it becomes a habit because of Y/N

Mina hummed as she takes out the needed notes for Jaune

Mina: Honestly, has Y/N been influencing you? I hope he shows good example or else I'll beat him up

Mina can be quite angry when she wants to right? Jaune smile at the cute face she's doing. Mina somehow becomes slightly protective of Jaune
