ALICIA WOULDN'T HAVE believed it, if anyone told her that someone could make her time back at Hogwarts even worse than it already was. In the two weeks they had been back, everyone had been watching her like she could breakdown any moment. She might just have done so.

Someone could make it even worse, though. Dolores Umbridge.

The terrible witch, who for some reason always wore pink, made life a living hell for all the students who had the pleasure of being in her class.

Having the class with the Hufflepuffs did make it better, yes, but the woman somehow sucked all the happiness out of the students.

Their first class had started with the Professor telling them to pack away their wands, and pull out their books instead.
Reading in a Defence Against the Dark Arts class was never really interesting, and it definitely wasn't at that time either.

Now, four weeks into the school year, and the class hadn't gotten any more interesting. If it wasn't because the class was important to get basically any job, she might just have dropped it.

Alicia made her way back to the common room, after yet another horrible time in the classroom, enveloped by her friends — who hadn't left her alone after the castle had selected her to be their new celebrity (no, they hadn't forgotten about it.)

She couldn't help but sigh, as she once again found herself in between Terry and Kimberly as they bickered above her head.

She loved her friend, she really did, but she missed her times alone. It wasn't even as if she couldn't handle herself. The stares people were giving her was nothing compared to what she had gone through alone over the summer.

Maybe, that was exactly why her friends were so protective now. They hadn't been there when she was deepest down. When she really had needed someone to be there, no one was around.

She couldn't blame them. It wasn't as if she had written to them over the summer. She had enjoyed the letters they had sent her, but she hadn't bothered to answer any of them.

Her beat down white Converse — a gift from Cedric for Christmas — squeaked slightly against the stone floor underneath them, as they walked through the castle. Terry and Kimberly had stopped their argument, and the only sound coming from the group now, was Anthony and Micheal's hushed conversation.

Behind them, Mandy and Padma were walking in silence, too.

The chocolate haired girl pulled her robes tighter around her as the group of fifth year Ravenclaws reached the common room.

Anthony was quick to answer the riddle, and they all — except for Micheal, who had a date with Ginny Weasley — filled into the cozy room after him.

RON HATED WATCHING Hermione and Harry together. He didn't have anything against them being together — well, except everything — and he knew they never would become anything more than friends, but sometimes he couldn't help but fear that someday, he would be third-wheeling even more than he was now.

Hermione had been adamant on making Harry agree to start a defence club, where Harry would be the teacher to other students who wanted to learn more than they did with Umbridge — he had never had as many bad nicknames for a person as he had for that witch.

Until now, Harry had yet to succumb to the girls many pleadings. Ron knew he wouldn't last long, though. Nobody really did, when they were up against the fiery girl the two of them called their best friend.

Because of that, it really didn't surprise him when Hermione announced that they would have a recruiting meeting for their new "club", and the two of them should invite as many people they could — not any who would snitch them out, though!

At first, he didn't really have anyone but his siblings in mind; who should he invite? He never really spent time with anyone but Harry and Hermione. After thinking it through, though, a person came to his mind. A person he couldn't get off of his mind for a long time after that.
