Emotions were confusing for James, trying to understand why he felt that way or why he was angry was quite easy for him to say the least. He knew exactly the way he felt everyday and why he felt that way.

This time, his emotions were because of a girl. Not just any girl, two girls in fact. It made him feel dizzy and nauseous at the same time; a new feeling he's never dealt with in his fifteen years of leaving. Lily Evans was the first girl James has ever laid on, as quite frankly, he was glad he did at age 11.

A blooming red head in the same house as him was a blessing, knowing his mother and father ended up the same way— besides the fact his mother is a blonde. James always thought it was faith, but what he wasn't taught was the fact not everyone will like him and his flirty tone.

Lily was one of those people, it made him learn as to how to over come that, complimenting and not harrasing. He even asked his father for some tips to not scare Lily, and while those didn't work, James loved to know he had something to wake up to and enjoy his years at Hogwarts.

Until Nora Black came into the light. His best friends sister was just causally reading while he talked to Marlene, realizing she's quite the feisty girl and won't back down from something. But James also knew she won't get attached to anyone because that's how Purebloods are.

James knew exactly what he was getting into with Nora, however the fact they were at each others throats made James feel some sort of comfort. Knowing a girl will actually look him in the eyes and have a conversation with him.

He never knew how Nora got through studying with him on that test, he hated the fact that Nora technically hated him with all her guys. It wasn't obvious as she would gag and try to be funny when being uncomfortable.

It was funny to James— but also a little fun for himself, a girl he could probably be friends with if he picked his battles right.

But he didn't.

Jumping the gun and asking Nora if he wanted to fake date him was selfish of James, he only had one mission; to make Lily Evans jealous. He didn't think about the fact telling Nora that he was using her for his own benefit, only to drag her around Hogwarts for half of the second term.

Unfortunately, his mission failed when he began to feel some things whenever Nora was around him. James felt butterflies and knew he was partially smiling when seeing her even look at him. He couldn't believe the fact he was starting to fall for her, loving the times she would laugh, how she would get flustered with school work and the fact her eyes twinkled whenever she talked to James.

It made James mad knowing he screwed over Nora, not to mention he even gave her a necklace showing how serious he was with the whole relationship. Leading her on wasn't the plan when he let his emotions get in the way of his plan; a plan to win Lily's heart.

Sitting by one of the windows in the library and watching two kids run in the air, James couldn't help but smile, trying to make this little moment a good thing. Two boys twirling each other as the had their mouths open and enjoying the pouring rain.

Sighing and knowing he's currently suspended from quidditch from doing the dumb prank, James couldn't help but what to see them and practice when he heard something, making him look at away the window.

"Mate, you've been here for two hours, and the last time I came you were also by the window." Sirius panted, bending over and panting a little bit. "I fucking hate those bloody stairs." He breathed out, coming to sit down in his quidditch uniform.

James sighed miserably, looking at Sirius with puffy eyes and a long face, shrugging his shoulders. "Rain is soothing." James mumbled, realizing he was doing school work before he got caught up with the window, seeing his muggle studies books out.
