LOGAN

My face was in the book I borrowed from Brook at the library. Biology is off-topic. Who would have thought that?

I blindly reached for the bag of chips that lay open on the dining table. When I wanted to put the chip in my mouth, it was taken away from me. I put the book back, on the table and looked at Fane who put my stolen food in his mouth.

"There's an entire bag on the table. You could take that too." I raised my eyebrow and didn't understand the meaning of the whole thing.

"What did you read?" he grabbed another chip and ate it. I flip the book over. The not-so-nice cover was revealed. It's not convincing to read it, but I do it anyway. I get why Brook secretly read this kind of books at work.

"What do you want with the knowledge of biology?" came Jeremy from the side, who has his gym bag on his shoulder.

He also took chips from the bag. "Broaden my knowledge. It's good to just read books sometimes." I'm hinting that he should read something, but Jeremy's only book he'll own is a Wonder Woman comic book. Which he probably had for over 8 years, because at the age of 10 he thought she was so beautiful that he had to buy it.

The comic is damaged and wrinkled, under his mattress. Why right there... well I hope it's not because of that. I really hope so.

"If you think so. Anyway, I go to training. Cruz makes me show up at the gym even though Leah is throwing her party today." the brown-haired basketball player was slightly pissed off.

Yes, you have to say that Leah's parties are always one of the best on campus. Mostly the ones in winter. They set you in the right mood. Even if I'm really not always warm to the feeling of Christmas.

"Then we'll see each other. When we come back." Fane laughed gleefully at Jeremy's loss. Yes, it makes him happy not to pick up Jeremy from somewhere.

Jeremy laughed, but with an ironic kind of smile. Then he was already out the door. "And you? When are we going to the party?" "Not at all. Well, at least I don't." I got up from my chair and closed the book, which only needs a few more pages to finish.

"How? Why are you not going? If Leah can't get your winter spirit up, who can?" that would make me think of one girl. So the party is not needed, and I have to finish the book before I go back to the library.

"Yeah, I'm not going. I have to finish the book before I go to the library." I wanted to go up to the bathroom to take a shower, but before that, I went into the kitchen for a drink as the chips were drying my throat.

"To the library or rather see the employees?" I emptied the entire glass. "Both," I admitted. "Well, according to my good sources, I found out that your girl is going to the party." Now, Fane had my full attention.

"She's going to the party?" When I say the words, they really sound so strange. Brook and a party. Yes, the words don't fit.

I've never seen her on one, and while she seems so stubborn and passionate about what she does to me, she probably doesn't have time for this whole typical college life.
