Chapter 20: Serenity

I took a whiff of the cold air and packed my things to go back home. Since I woke up earlier than usual, I made instant coffee and sat on the lounge chair in our room. I texted Yena to take over my place while I go and have breakfast with Chaewon. She sent a text immediately and rushed into my room.

" That was quick, noona. "

" Go and have breakfast with your girlfriend, Y/N-ah. "

" I was planning on doing it anyways. "

Yena exhanged places with me and I jogged towards Chaewon, who was waiting at the elevator. I peeked around the corner to see the her wear my hoodie and sweatpants. What a handsome girlfriend I have.

" Good morning, Y/N! "

" Shall we get going? "

" Mhm! "

We held hands and went down the elevator together. The rest of them were still packing up and could not follow us for breakfast. We went to the guest lounge and ate our breakfast together. Even though we usually eat together at home, we still love to eat with each other every single time.

" You want my scrambled eggs, Chaewonie? "

" Weawyy? "

" Don't talk with your mouth full, dummy~ "

I pinched her nose and gave her my scrambled eggs. She seems to like eggs for some reason. I finished up my plate and waited for Chaewon to finish her food. She may look like a cheetah but she looks like a squirrel when she eats her food. I poked her cheeks as she was too cute to ignore. She looked up at me with confusion.

" Sorry, I wanted to poke it... "

" It's okay~ "

She gave me a bright smile and finished up the remainders of her food. We got up and proceeded to help the others with their stuff. I was surprised when I found out that Yena helped cleaned up for us while I was gone. Thanks, noona!

" What time is it...? "

" It's about to be 12pm if you don't wake up, Minju. "

" Fine... "

Minju got up and dragged her feet to the bathroom. She has been really sluggish every morning. I wonder if she's like this everyday? On the other hand, Hyejoo tried to act like she's asleep to not leave her bed. I dragged her out of bed and smacked her with a pillow.

" You can't escape me, Hyejoo-ah. "

" Can I stay in bed for another 5 minutes? "

" No. We need to leave soon. "

Hyejoo sulked as she waited for Minju to leave the bathroom. I wore my padded jacket and waited for them to finish changing. Yuri walked towards me and looked at my face without saying anything to me.

" Thank you for taking care of Hyejoo, Y/N. "

" Eyy, it's nothing much. "

I offered a fistbump and she lifted up her hand to do the fistbump. As we were talking, the two sleepyheads got out of the hotel room with their bags. We walked together to the elevator and went down to the lobby to meet up with Yena and Chaewon.

" You guys ready to go back home? "

" Y/N, help us return the keys back to the receptionist. "

" Okay. "

I took our keys and walked towards the reception counter. I pressed the bell on the counter and a female staff came to my assistance. She stopped in her tracks and looked at me intently. Was there something on my face? I looked around to see if she was looking at someone else. She combed her hair behind her ears and smiled at me.
