Cole scowled as Kai blinked at him a couple times. "What, oh" Kai said before bursting out into laughter. Coles glair got thinner to show the boy underneath him that he was as serious as Misako was when Wu refused to go to shintaro. Kai paused before giving him a warm smile. "Oh your serious," he said, throwing his phone over his shoulder nachlauntly. "If you must know, I was cornered by this gang on the way home from skylars. Thats where I got the more recent cuts that night. Thier leader was female, that's who I was referring to, not Skylar. I already told you what happened with her and I have absolutely no reason to lie about that," He mumbled, leaning back onto the bed with his arms above his head and crossed one of his legs over the other. Cole slightly slouched his side, tilting his head a tad bit so he could see Kai's face which was hidden by his legs. Kais eyes were closed with a small smile still perked on his lips as he hummed softly. "Are you planning to stick to that story or are you going to tell me the truth," Cole asked, interrupting Kais humming. One of Kais eyes popped open so he could see Coles face. One of coles eyebrows was raised as he continued to watch Kai intently. Kai hummed, "I have nothing to admit since everything I just said was the absolute truth. Seriously, you guys really need to trust me more," Kai said, sticking to the story he had planned out the night before. A believable story it was, everyone knew many gangs littered ninjago city, and elemental masters weren't prohibited to use thair powers on the streets without their teams or the wardens approval as most of the assignments they recive are from the warden himself. Cole paused, not questioning Kai further as the boy seemed pretty insistent on the situation.
"Alright, than do you at least know what drug they pumped into your system," Morro's voice broke the tense silence. Cole turned around, spotting the black haired boy by the door with a few papers in his hand in which he appeared to be reading. "No clue, they just forced two bags of this white material into my mouth," Kai responded, his voice low and unreadable. Morro hummed looking at the papers before looking back up at Kai, Coles gaze followed. "Well it appears that whatever was given to you was a mix of a lot of pain releavers, definitely overdose material," Morro said matter-of-factly, tossing the papers onto the side table. "That makes sense," was Kais only response to the information given to him. Cole sighed, admitting defeat. "How are you feeling now, the wounds Morro bandaged appear to be healing well and the drugs are clearly out of your system now," Cole stated with a spark of annoyance. "Well Cole, for your information I in fact do feel much better than I had initially," Kai snarled in return. "Please don't fight over this guys, it was out of everyone's control nomater if he's telling the truth or not, alright?" Morros irritated voice echoed through the room for a moment before leaving the room in complete silence. A defining silence.
"Sorry, for acusing you of lieing." Cole broke the silence like he was shattering a glass wall, making Kai and Morro look at him. Kai sighed and nodded. "Its fine, I understand why you would think I was but I promise from the bottom of my heart I'm not. The whole thing with skylar is over." Kai sat up, placing his hand on his chest, looking Cole in the eye as he replied. "Good riddance too, I never told ya because I didn't want to upset you but I fucking hated her," Morro stated, laughing at the comment. Cole and Kai soon joined in. "Yeah, she was fucking terrible. Always so clingy and controlling. I have no clue how none of us didn't spot how controlling she would be sooner, like damn we are blind," Cole exclaimed, laughing at the groups stupidity. "Right! Like, oh my God how did I ever fall in love with her!," Kai laughed, sitting on the side of the bed. "I mean, at least were not as blind as the other guys, they still have no fuxking clue about any of this shit and we weren't exactly secretive about it either; in the beginning anyway," Morro pointed out. "Oh my lord that is so true, Lloyd even came in her on multiple occasions and he still bought my lie, not to mention when you weren't acting like yourself, that should have set off alarm bells in everyone's brains. Expecaly your sisters. But no, everyone else didn't have a single fucking clue. I mean. I get Jay not seeing it but seriously, Nya, Zane and Lloyd really should have put the puzzle piece together," Cole complained, louging back in the chair that was beside Kai's bed. "Right, I can't belive my sister just brushed that off like nothing happened, I know she's terrible at identifying feelings but for the first spinjitzu masters sakes she should know me well enough to know I was not myself that day," Kai pitched in, annoyed that no one else could tell his obvious dominar change. "Well, it's not like they didn't notice it, it was more like they brushed it off way too soon, expecaly for my liking," Morro stated, sitting beside Kai on the edge of the bed.
Lloyd stood beside the door, Nya, Jay and Zane beside him. After talking to Cole the other day he still felt as if something was off about the trio in the room which lead to them listening into thair conversation now. Nya fumbled with her fingers, listening to the voices through the door, tears poking out of her eyes while Jay tried to keep her calm. "Seriously, who in thair right mind would dismiss that, you looked absolutely apawling when you returned that night." - "Hey! I didn't look that bad! Did i?" Coles voice could be heard, before Kai quickly added into the conversion. "You did look like you were hit by a bus... ten times." Morro's voice echoed. Lloyd continued to fidget with his sleeves. They had been listening to this conversation not long after Morro entered the room, yet Lloyd still did not get the information he was after, yes he now knew why Kai had been so sick, damn gang... but they kept mentioning Skylar and from what he can tell, its nothing nice about her. She did something but he can't figure out what. Lloyd looked at the floor, listening into the conversation once more. "At least this whole situation is over, but you are not having any kind of drug for three months, you had way too much in the past- what three days?!" Coles voice echoed. Now that caught Lloyds attention, and Nyas. "What?" Nya whispered, Lloyd held a figure up to his mouth to signal silence as he continued to listen. "I mean, Was it really that bad?" Kais voiced echoed, stretching out the word bad. "Dude, Skylar drugged you with a bad amount of GHB three times in the span of 24 hours just so she could use and abuse you while you were out which by the way, we still don't fully know what the fuck she did in that time but whateverit did it caused you to have three or four panic attacks in the span on thirty-five minutes while you were talking to Cole and I, than that gang drugged you with two bags of a ton of fucking unknown pain killers that lead to a weird overdose situation that none of us liked dealing with so yes. It was THAT bad." Morros voice stated mater-of-factly. Everyone in the hall froze at the statement. No one daring to say a word, yet Nyas tears started to flow a little heavier. "I supose that's true..." Kai mumbled, if was barely audible through the door but it was loud enough to be heard by Lloyd. "But you do know that you can come to us when PTSD inevitably kicks in, right?" Coles voice echoed. "Yeah, I can do that. Thanks." Kais responded not long after only for Morro to pitch once more. "Now that thats dealt with. Get your ass up, your comming to the store with us, you need fresh air and I kinda promised Zane I would pick up stuff for dinners this week." Morros voice echoed, followed by an annoyed groan. Everyone in the hall didn't risk it and took off to the living room and put a sad movie on to make it appear like nya was crying to the movie. The other three even9made thair way to the living room as they spotted everyone. "Were going to head to the store, do you guys want anything?" Morro asked in which Jay jumped up. "How about some candy!?" He yelped excitedly. Morro laughed and nodded as Kai and Cole rolled thair eyes. "Alright. We will be back soon guys, bye!" Cole sang, grabbing Kai and Morro, walking away. They all waited for them to leave before turning the T.V off, sitting in silence. At least until Wu and Misaco walked in.
