Few days before the battle began.

"I refused."

Sternly said Shinobu as she not agreeing on her elder sister's plan.

"Why? Kanao-Chan also agree with this plan, right?"

Shinobu glanced at her younger sister that up until now just stay quite, didn't say anything or thinking to give any comment.

"Kanao, if you don't like the idea, you can just say no. And if you don't think of anything, just say no, at least help me winning this argument."

"What Kanao-Chan should be agreeing this with me!"

Kanae whined as she also turned her face to look at Kanao. With the two sisters look straight at Kanao, she was more nervous to say anything. Sweat running down all over her back.

"I...uh..."

Kanao looked back and forth between Kanae and Shinobu as she don't know which side to choose.

"There's no right and wrong. Just choose what you are most comfortable with."

Kanae reassured her youngest sister to be more relax as she saw that Kanao being very anxious right now.

"I want to fight with Kanae-Nesan...."

She said quietly as if not wanting anyone to hear her private comment, but that still loud enough for the other two to hear. Shinobu just sighed at this, but since Kanao also not against it, she too also don't have anything else to use to against her elder sister.

"Fine, I understand now. I will help work as a medical team during the battle. However, if anything bad really happen, I will not hesitate to approach you. Also Kanao, please take care of this reckless older sister."

Shinobu said last sentence while pointing it at Kanae.

He looked toward Kanao.

"I'm Tsuyuri Kanao. Kocho Kanae and Kacho Shinobu's younger sister."

Douma commented.

Kanae slowly standing up in-front of Kanao as if to protect her.

"Douma-San I really feel so much sympathy for you."

Kanae said as she looked at him with melancholy eyes.

"I know that every single word that comes out of your mouth is nothing but random babble. You don't even feel the least bit sad, do you?"

Kanao started to explain it in Kanae's place.

"The color of your face hasn't change at all. Your 'best friend' is dead. Yet the blood hasn't drained from your face. And your cheeks aren't flushed with anger."

"Because I'm a demon."

Douma denied the evidence that Kanao had just said, but Kanao still continue on what she has to say.

"The eyes of a demon are continuously damp, so they don't blink. But blood circulates through their bodies just like in humans, so their face color changes. Isn't that right Kanae-San? All the things that you want me to acknowledge."

Kanae smiled softly at her younger sister.

"That's all right. Douma-San, you don't feel anything, do you?"

She now looked straight forward to Douma.

"Every person born into this word feels something as natural as happiness. As well as things that make our bodies shake like anger and sadness. However, you can't understand any of those feelings, can you?"

Kanae's face start to grow more of a sadness.

"You've never felt happiness. Felt enjoyment. Felt pain. Felt bitterness. In fact you're nothing but an empty shell."

As Kanae said those sentences her mind started to remember about the story Tanjiro had told her about the two demons sibling that he had fight with.

"To be honest, I'm pitying you more than those two demon siblings. At least they have their feeling, not like you."

Kanae started to chuckle.

"It's weird right? Everyone demon slayers is only see demons as an evil things that need to be perished. And then me, start to think of every possible things and start to grow some sympathy for the demons. Maybe they didn't even want to do this, don't want to be in this kind of state."

She paused a little before continuing her sentence.

"Even that person of yours, Kibutsuji-San, must have something to be pity of right? However...that still didn't change the fact that all the things he did was wrong."

At the end of Kanae's sentence, Douma's expression started to change to a mad one.

"I've talked with a lot of young girls, and even a lot more with you, Kanae. And now, I start to hate you two."

Douma said as he looked at the butterfly siblings as if he would want to kill them immediately right here and right now.
