Colby's POV

"Alright. Go home." I mumbled as I flopped onto the bed, sweating from the sex that just took place.

"What?" The girl, who's name I probably should have known, said as she tried to catch her breath.

"You heard me. Out." I said and pointed to the door, grabbing a cigarette from the nightstand.

"Asshole." She grumbled then got out of bed and started to get dressed.

I couldn't care less if I hurt these girls' feelings. They really meant nothing to me.

These girls were just there to fill the void and keep me satisfied sexually.

None of them even knew my name or anything about me. Some didn't care, but some, like the one tonight, cared more.

They wanted me to pay more attention to them, make them feel special but I wouldn't do that.

I wouldn't open my heart to them because that's when things got dangerous. I didn't want to love them anyways.

My heart was fully locked down and would be forever.

I lazily watched as the girl left the apartment, slamming the door behind her.

I then grabbed my phone, smoking the cigarette between my fingers with ease.

I tried to not smoke in the apartment, since it created a smell and residue that I didn't appreciate.

Yeah, I was fucking addicted to them, but when I wasn't smoking I didn't want to be reminded that I was smoking.

I scrolled on my phone for a minute before Sam started calling me.

"Hey, man." I mumbled, stubbing out my cigarette. "Hey. How's it going?" He asked as I closed my eyes and leaned my head back.

"It's going." I said with a sigh. "Doesn't sound like you've made any friends." Sam said as I breathed a laughed.

"Made a very good friend tonight." I hummed then got out of bed so I could get myself cleaned up.

"TMI." Sam said with a laugh. "Are you coming to the party?" He asked as I nodded.

"Yeah, I think so. Haven't gotten any new jobs for this weekend and everyone can handle their own shit while I'm away." I explained.

"That's great. Everyone is excited to see you." Sam said with a sigh. "Really? Everyone?" I asked and went to go get some water from the kitchen.

"Katrina isn't the happiest with you, but I think she misses you. She misses how much extra time I had when you were here." Sam said causing me to grin.

"You really carried the gang. I was just the face of it." I said and took a sip of my water.

"A pretty face." Sam teased as I rolled my eyes.
"Did you just call to bother me?" I asked then opened the fridge.

"Yeah, pretty much." He said nonchalantly. "Who's that?" Katrina asked in the background. "It's Colby, wanna say hi?" He asked playfully.

"Fuck you, Colby!" Kat yelled causing me to laugh. "Hi, Katrina." I said then scrubbed my face with my hand.

"I'm gonna go to bed now, busy day tomorrow." I said then yawned. "Alright, see you this weekend." Sam said then hung up.

I had to admit I was a little excited to go to LA for the weekend.

I needed an excuse to go see the people who helped me get to where I was.

I had to put up a front around everyone that was here. They couldn't get close, but the guys in LA knew me inside and out.
