A/n: Y'all asked for Shadow, but he just seems like he'd be a vampire for Halloween if he had to choose. I dunno.

Rouge: Tell her.

Shadow: This line is for business only.

Rouge: This is business - it's VERY important.

Shadow: I'm blocking you.

Shadow tucked the communicator away, snuggling back into (Y/n)'s side as she flipped through the channels on the TV. The communicator dinged; unfortunately, it didn't have the option of blocking someone.

"If it's important, I can wait," (Y/n) said, stroking a hand down Shadow's quills. He purred softly, wrapping his arms around her waist.

"It's not," he mumbled, even as the communicator pinged again. He gave an angry growl, sitting up and snatching the communicator.

Rouge: She should know she has a VAMPIRE boyfriend!

Rouge: What if something goes wrong?

Shadow: Nothing will go wrong. Now leave me alone.

He waited for a moment after sending his response, but Rouge finally seemed to have taken the hint and didn't respond. He tossed the communicator onto the shelf beside the couch and flopped down with his head in his girlfriend's lap.

"Rouge bugging you again?" she asked, finally settling on a channel and setting the remote aside. She ran both hands through his fur and he closed his eyes, completely ignoring whatever was on the screen.

"Yes," he murmured. "But it doesn't matter." A soft laugh from the (a/t).

"If you say so." Shadow opened one eye, then sat up, curling one arm around her waist and drawing her towards him. "Shadow," she whined, reaching for the remote, "the movie!"

"You know I couldn't care less about the movie," he said quietly, pulling her face towards his. She sighed as his lips brushed hers, leaning briefly into his touch. He tried to pull her closer, but she planted a hand on his chest and pulled back.

"But I could, and you promised you'd watch it with me," she said. "But don't worry," she placed a kiss against his jaw, "if you do, you'll get plenty of attention afterwards." Shadow sighed dramatically.

"Fine," he grumbled. "But it better be a short movie."

"It's two and a half hours." His ears twitched in annoyance, but a fond smile pulled at his lips. Two and a half hours he got to spend with her.

Nothing could ruin this for him.

Nothing would go wrong.

"Have you even considered how you'll tell her, if at all?"

Shadow punched the rival agent in the face, roundhousing another and turning to glare at Rouge, who'd been walking lazily behind him while he cleared the path.

"Does she even know what you do for a living?" the bat continued. "Really, how much does she actually know about you?"

"All the important things," he replied. "Outside of work," he added when she gave him a pointed look. He elbowed an agent attempting to approach him from behind.

"And that you're a vampire," Rouge said, finally jumping into the action and twisting an agent's arm out of place. "Why is that? Seems like a really important thing to know, and you two seem like you're getting pretty serious."

"Hallway is clear," Shadow said into his comm. "And Rouge, it's none of your business."

"You know it'll become my business if something goes wrong. And besides, you can't hide anything from me. Especially not a sweetheart like (Y/n)." She nudged Shadow as they started down the now empty hallway. "You have to invite me over for a movie night sometime."
