~~~Luna's POV~~~
I sat up straight on my bed, panting as I woke up from another nightmare. It was a flashback about my brothers' deaths. My sweats were falling along with my tears as I try to make my breathing come back to normal.
I made my way towards my cabinet to get a towel to wipe my sweats and tears. I also got another strip of gauze to change the one that's wrapped around my waist at the moment, I sat up forcefully and too fast that my wound probably opened.
I went to the bathroom to clean my wound before replacing the gauze on my waist. Luckily, I still have enough ointment to apply on my cut. I then wrapped the clean gauze around my stomach.
I looked at the time and it's only 4am. I grabbed a cardigan from my closet before leaving my room. I went to the kitchen to brew some green tea as it helps me soothe my mind when I'm stressed. I poured the hot beverage on my teacup. I went outside and walked towards the backyard. I sat beside my brothers' grave as I let the cold breeze blow my hair. I closed my eyes, appreciating the gentle wind as I took a sip from my tea to warm me up.
"First morning without you two. How are you doing up there? Are you going to show me your first sky art or are you two already arguing about who's a better artist?" The idea made me chuckle as I sip again from my cup. "There's something I want to tell you both. I decided to join the Survey Corps. I know, I know. I'm such a hypocrite. It was your dream anyway, not mine. But I want to do it for you two. I wanna make you both proud. Although, I'm sorry I hindered you from getting your dream before. Sorry for being such a stubborn brat."
I let out a heavy breath before speaking again. "Do you think it was the right decision to join them? I really hope it is. I also want to give justice to your deaths. I promise I'll make sure the person that did this to you, Conrad, will be thrown in the dungeon to pay for what he did. And I promise, Otto, that I will drive out every titan until none of them could ever walk on earth again. So please, guide me from up there."
I close my eyes as I feel a tear creeping out of my eyes. I sat there quietly for a good few minutes before opening my eyes again. As I looked into the sky, I couldn't help but to shed a tear and smile. The sky is now being painted with blue, purple, soft pink, and orange with a hint of yellow. It was the most colorful and beautiful sunrise I've ever seen. I smile, crying "It's beautiful, you two." I stared at it, mesmerized. "Thank you." I whisper at the wind.
I felt a presence from the door and knew immediately that it was Farris. I kept my gaze on the sky as I hear his footsteps getting nearer. "Oh no, did I miss the best part?" He says as he sits beside me, gazing at the sky.
"Kinda. You're lucky they're keeping it this long so your sleepyhead could get ahold of their masterpiece." I reply without taking my eyes off the sky.
He chuckled before speaking up, "See, it wasn't that hard. Who knew you two could work together peacefully?"
"Oh, no, I bet they had a good full hour of bantering before coming up with this." I comment as I lean my head on his shoulder, still watching them painting the skies. Farris and I just shared a soft laughter as we imagine them throwing remarks at each other.
I finished my now warm tea before getting up to get inside the house. "See you later guys." I wave to the sky like an idiot but I don't care.
Farris went straight to the kitchen to prepare breakfast for both of us. "Go take a bath, we'll eat before going to Mr. Emil." I nod at him before making my way to my room.
After a few hours of preparation, Farris helped me place everything we need on the carriage. The lady that received me at the orphanage said that the man that brought me there left this carriage for me to use in future. It was wise of him to do that because it made our transportation easier, and I'm thankful for him, whoever he is.
