Chapter 8 "Two Became One"

Chapter 8 "Two become one."

Raven's POV

     Oh, shit. This can't be happening, not now. I thought that Eliza told Alicia about what would happen if we kissed our soulmates. Anya and I have been careful, but of course we have also been talking a lot to strand. It seems that he and his soulmates are also hybrids.

     They have a tribe just south of Mexico. Strand's mate actually turned him. They have two pups he is trying to get home to. Anyways, we need to get them out of here and fast, before they start mating in the open. They will bring the dead right to us.

     Both Eliza and Alicia have finally stopped kissing, but now they are stripping weapons off of each other. Strand comes up to me as Octavia walks over to Eliza and Alicia. "We have to get them somewhere safer. I know a place about twenty minutes away, but we have to leave now. You will have to talk to them and Octavia will have to drive. You are the only two that they won't kill if they get too close."

     I have to make this fast. I turn to the others and say, "Load up. Everyone follows Travis. Strand you will show Travis the way. Octavia, you are driving the van. Only the four of us in it. Let's go, people."

     Octavia rushes to the driver's seat and I walk up to my sister, "You don't want this to happen here. Get in the van and I will be able to explain more." I tell them.

     They look into each other's eyes and nod. I notice that both of their eyes have changed. There is no color left except for the black of their pupils and a ring of silver around them. As they make their way into the van, I grab their weapons and join them, being careful enough to stay as far away from their space as I can get.

     Octavia starts the van as I take a deep breath and begin, "Anya and I have been talking with Strand these last few days. He is an omega and his mate, who he is trying to get to, is an alpha. There are things you should both know, before you do anything." I tell them calmly.

     Eliza pulls Alicia closer to her and asks, "Do you trust him?"

     "I trust him, especially about what I need to tell you." I say, looking directly into Eliza's eyes.

     Both of them are sweating profusely at this time and squirming. I know that I don't have much time. Eliza never takes her eyes off of Alicia as she speaks, "Explain."

     "You can't stop this, none of us can. The pull to each other will get stronger. The only reason that you have been able to fight it so far is because you are both primes. In about ten more minutes, we will be somewhere safe for you to mate. However, you should know that a wolf mating is different from a human. It can be dangerous." I tell them.

     Eliza swivels her head towards me and asks, "How so?"

     This is the last thing I ever wanted to have to do. I never ever, not in a million years, thought that I would have to talk about my little sister having sex for the first time. We had both assumed that it would be just like in our dreams, the typical female and female type of sex, but this is so much different.

     I take a deep breath and continue, "You might have noticed that you have an extra appendage, now that you have shifted. During sex, an alpha will also grow what is called a knot. It holds the sperm. It will be the seal that holds in the sperm. Strand does not know how to make the tea that prevents one from becoming pregnant and the morning after pill will not work on a hybrid."

     Eliza closes her eyes and asks, "So Alicia might become pregnant?"

     "There is no might to it. True mates, especially primes, always become pregnant the first time that they mate. They always have multiple births as well, usually two to three, but sometimes up to four. There is something else that you should know." I tell them.
