Short story's I make for class

✨📚 Journal Prompt 📚✨

So this was supposed to be medieval fantasy stuff lol 

I was walking through the woods near the village. Many villagers have told me not to go near there. They all said there was a dangerous creature there. I do not believe nor did I care, since I just wanted to explore the woods. I walk towards the sound of water and see a waterfall with a cave behind it. Walking around the waterfall and into the cave, I spot a huge shadow. I got closer to see forest green scales, lime greenhorns, and a bit of teal on its wings as well as a tail. The dragon slowly started to wake up. Its emerald eyes stared onto my dark brown eyes. It leaned closer to me, and in curiosity, I hoped for the best. I didn't do anything and just stood still, waiting for something to happen. 

I opened my eyes to stare into just one big emerald eye. It sent shivers up my spine and jumped away from the dragon, although it just got closer to me. I put my hand out to try and pet it, it looked at my hand in curiosity and slowly put its head on my hand. It started to purr like a kitten, I stared at the dragon wondering what it was.

"Just what are you?" I asked, it looked at me in confusion. 

"Hmm, nod yes if you're a female and no if you're a male," I told it again.

The dragon nodded no and put his hand back onto my hand. I didn't think I was going to be there for long but with this dragon, it turned out I stayed there with him the whole day. I looked up at the sky and saw it getting dark, I looked at the dragon with a sad smile.

"Hey, buddy." He looked at me.

"Um, I need to head back home," I said, he wined at me.

"Hmm, Hey, can I call you Draco? Since it means Dragon?" He stood still and started to purr again. I laughed and stared at him again.

"How about this Draco, I can come back tomorrow again and hang out with you," He purred and let me go.

I got up and started to walk back home. Once I got home I made food and ate, I then showered and got change for bed. In the morning, I made food and grabbed a thermal bag to place my food there. I then grab another bag and placed some blankets and clothes in case. I walked back into the woods and searched for the waterfall, as well as the cave. When I found the cave, I walked inside and went over to Draco, I saw him still sleeping. I put my bag down and slowly made my way to the green dragon, when I got close to his face I grabbed a feather and tickled his nose. He blew out his nose and slowly got up.

"Good morning, you big boy," I said as Draco grunted.

Draco stretched his body and his wings. I walked over to my bag, grabbed it, and walked outside the cave, I walk past the waterfall and went over to the grass. I found a decent area near the entrance of the cave and laid a blanket down. I sat down, Draco came outside his cave and slowly walked over to me. He laid around me, Draco is around 10ft tall while I am 5'9ft tall. Draco and I hung out the whole day. It was always the same. I would wake up grab blankets and my bento and just walk back into the woods to visit Draco.
