Her eyes looked back at me with a love I could not reciprocate. I adore Nadia but the love she has for me is something I am yet to understand. The light reflected slightly off her glasses distracting my thoughts and allowing me to be present once again.
"Cora... Did you hear me?" she breathed out.
"Yes , Sorry you just caught me off guard, Nobody other than my parents have ever said they love me. I wasn't expecting it so soon".
We have been together six months, Nadia's friends have been persistent on when we would say it but no time ever felt right. I guess I love her , I care deeply for her and she is the most gorgeous woman I have ever seen. The days I spend with her are my favourite and she knows all my secrets but I imagined first loves to be so overwhelming you felt like you were drowning.
I could see her pulling at the skin around her nails causing tiny dots of blood to appear. My hand takes hers and I lean down to place a kiss to her lips. I feel her smile against me and I hope for now that is enough. I am sure those feelings will come with time.
