It had already started raining by the time Hendery reached the finish line. Seeing the boy all drenched in rain, Xiaojun ran to him with a towel, worried that he might catch a cold.

Hendery mouthed a silent thanks and continued to dry his hair, his foul mood still visible on his face. But the elder didnt ask further about it. Yangyang and Yiren had already finished before him, but he couldnt find it in himself to feel bad. He had already given up the chances of winning when he was paired up with Onda.

The only good thing that came out of this match was that the friendship between Yangyang and Yiren had finally made progress. For the first time, they were conversing without roasting the hell out of each other.

"Where's Onda?" Hendery turned around to find Xiaojun staring off to the road ahead, probably expecting someone to show up. "I dont know." he threw the towel across the couch and plopped down.

"What do you mean you dont know? She was your partner, you two are supposed to be together!"

"I havent seen her ever since the game started. I clearly told her to return." A stiff silence fell as Xiaojun could only stare at the living fool before him. Then the realisation hit him, he jumped off his seat, "She hasnt returned yet!?!"

"You left her in the middle of a freaking forest?!? What if she gets attacked by wild animals?!?"

"There's wild animals up there?" Renjun pushed in between, feeling bad that because of his idea of this game, Xiaojun's friends were in danger "Of course not, but there can be a lot of poisonous insects." speaking of insects, Hendery had a flashback of how scared Onda was when she encountered a spider. He looked back to the pouring sky, 'what if she's lost and cant find her way back...'  he felt a spark of guilt building inside him.

The other two were conversing when suddenly Hendery made run for the way he came from, starling them both. Xiaojun would've shouted for him to take an umbrella but it was too late, the boy already disappeared into the woods.

The thought of Onda all alone, scared and cold up in the mountain worried him. The pent up guilt kept reminding him how foolish he was for venting on her the way he did. He was so blinded by his hatred, he didnt even realise what he did wrong. But things has gone too far to be fixed.

Withing few minutes, he reached the spot where they had last seen each other. 'She cant be too far. I just hope she didnt cross the boundaries.' he moved back and forth on the same road in her search. His hair all wet in rain, the mud making it harder to move and Onda was still nowhere to be found.

He noticed some footsteps leading him to the uphill, following the prints, he stood before an old shop. And there she was, under the roof of the shop, all curled up. Guilt worn all over Hendery's face, he cursed and blamed himself for the state she was in.

He quickened his steps toward the girl, trembling in fear, burying her head between her knees. Hearing the loud footsteps, she quickly looked up, "Hendery..."

"Why didnt you come back?"

"...I hurt my leg."
