"And the next time you bring yo black ass up in here without my grandchild or future daughter in law, it's gon be a mothafuckin' problem !" Taesha, Von's mother said letting go of his ear and pushing his head to the side.
"Mmcht" Von sucked his teeth. "Man you ain een have ta do allat" he said rubbing his eye.
"No because Dayvon what were you thinking ??!" She screamed.
"You sat up there and got that girl pregnant then gonna tell her you won't be there for YOUR baby ?"
"That's selfish Dayvon."
"And then on top of that to kill it, who the fuck are you to tell her what to do with her body ?" Taesha ranted.
Von sighed.
"You weren't raised like that Dayvon ! Just imagine if your father would've said some shit like that to me". She said leaning back on the counter.
as he sat, taking in everything she was saying.
"His ass would've been in the ground". "Well he is... but before !"
Everything Mama T was saying, was going right in Dayvon's ear and sticking.
At times like this, he really just needed her guidance. He went to her for everything he cared about but couldn't seem to solve it himself.
"I know ma, damn," He hissed, "I already told myself the shit you saying right now."
It was quiet in the kitchen, Taesha leaning against the counter, hands crossed over her chest.
"You wanna be in the baby's life now don't you?" She asked.
Dayvon bit his lip, nodding. "I acted outta anger, mama. I was just scared, a nigga ain't tryna turn out like my daddy."
"And you won't," Taesha whispered.
He sniffled, his mother instantly making her way over to him, hugging him from behind. Dayvon completely broke down, just overwhelmed right now.
He always had to be the strong one and it sucked. He never cared for anything. Not even when his first babymother told him she was pregnant.
