16~~Goodbye

You realized you got lost in thought again. You shook the memory out of your head. You didn't want to be distracted by the memories

Just then you heard footsteps coming from the scaffolding behind you. You turned your yourself to find Mi-Jin and Ha-Ri walking back

As soon as they had gotten to the group, you listened closely to their conversation

Wu-Jin: I really think that that's the only way out

Mi-Jin and Ha-Ri had already told the group their circumstances. It wasn't that good to begin with

Mi-Jin: No... It drops into the basement on that side, and there are exposed steel bars. There's no way we can jump

Ha-Ri continued for Mi-Jin

Ha-Ri: That side faces the school, so there no point trying it

Mi-Jin: The ground is filled with zombies, we'll die if we go down

Ha-Ri: There's a door on the first floor that leads to the mountain. We have to go that way

Dae-Su: But it's full of zombies in there

Dae-Su was referring to the building you and the group were sitting against.

Silence fell as it almost seemed like you were out of options

You go inside the building, you're dead. You jump off the scaffolding, you're dead. You go to the ground, you're dead. And if you stay where you are, you die a slow painful death

Cheong-San looked up. He noticed the scaffolding on top of the building. He points up to it and speaks to the group

Cheong-San: Can't we reach the roof if we use that and the windows?

The whole group then looks up to where Cheong-San was pointing. Including you. All of you listen to what Cheong-San has to say

Cheong-San: If someone goes to the roof and screams, the zombies will follow them. Then I'm pretty sure it'll empty out in there, and the rest can escape

The group all share nervous glances at each other. All of them hesitant to answer

Su-Hyeok: I think it can work

Even though the plan was most likely going to work, On-Jo didn't seem to like the idea. Which made sense

On-Jo: No...

Cheong-San: If that's the only way-

Y/N: It's okay, guys. I'll go-

On-Jo: I said no.

She spoke with a firm voice. She knew, as well as the rest of the group, that they didn't want someone to die. On-Jo looked at the group

On-Jo: Please... stop sacrificing yourselves

Hyo-Ryung looks at On-Jo in an understanding way. Almost like she knew how she felt. Dae-Su and Wu-Jin also looked like they felt the same

Hyo-Ryung: Yeah... I agree with you. We said we'd all survive together...

Dae-Su: Me too... I feel the same way...

Wu-Jin: I also agree with you guys...

Mi-Jin sighs as the group as clearly made a decision to not sacrifice themselves.

Mi-Jin: Then we should just wait for now.

Ha-Ri: And then what? Do you have a plan?

Mi-Jin: Maybe if it rains again, they won't be able to hear us
