You once thought it was impossible for someone to break up with this man until you realized that admiring someone and being in a relationship with them were two completely different things.

You had kissed. Once.

But the confession part never followed. Where you stood? You had no idea.

Miura Chiyo was easiest to have as a friend, hardest as a lover. No, there were no problems with his words nor his manners. He was considerate and kind. But you could not brush away the feeling of a barrier between you and him.

He was scarily close to perfection. And it somehow- for whatever unknown reason- made you feel lonely.

Today was a warm day. The sultry, summer air swept through your hair, ruining the style you had worked on for half an hour. You sighed harshly. There was no use getting worked up for that. Miura never cared anyway. He would always tell you you looked amazing.

Sometimes, you wished he would say more. What more? You also didn't know. There was always something missing in your relationship.

You lazily sat on the barstool and eyed the menu prepared by the barista when he saw you approaching the mobile bar. He gave you his usual business smile, a pair of dimples appearing on his cheeks. "First time I've seen you here."

"How'd you know?," you replied to humor him despite looking completely uninterested.

"I always remember a pretty girl when I see one," he grinned. You couldn't help but eye him suspiciously. He must have developed the confidence to flirt because of his looks. His tan skin complemented the afternoon sun, sandy hair framing his masculine features.

Sure, he looked good, but he couldn't hold a candle to Miura. That man was just otherworldly.

You dismissed the compliment. "I don't know what I want. Surprise me."

Seeing your lukewarm response paired with a signal for him to try and impress you, the barista took it as a challenge. It seemed you weren't there for coffee, judging by how you lingered a second longer on the alcohol page. "You don't look like you want coffee. Trying to get drunk in the middle of the day? What's up?"

You shrugged. "Bad day."

"Relationship?," he smirked. "Not contented or...?"

It was annoying how people could pick up random skills from their work after a couple of years of experience. The man's observation skills were spot on. Somehow, you wished it was this easy to talk to Miura. "I don't even know anymore. He's perfect, but..."

The barista heaved a deep breath, followed by a disapproving chuckle. Damn. You were taken, and by someone you'd describe as "perfect", too. Still, he proceeded to make you a drink with much gusto. "People don't need someone perfect. It's overrated anyway. You can be a perfect person, but not perfect for someone."

The point made so much sense you finally faced the man with a helpless expression of amusement on your face. "Wow. You just summarized my whole dilemma perfectly."

He winked. "People don't just come here for the drinks."

He was a conversationalist, you'd give him that. You would have loved to be friends with him, but you worried of Miura's reaction. Miura didn't seem to be the jealous type, though.
