The familiar bells—ones that you hear often each day—jingle as several footsteps follow inside shortly after. Chairs are being pushed aside, some murmuring voices, and then silence before a "is that cute person even here today?" can be heard.

You poke your head from the kitchen and see the same group of guys you've gotten to know over the past few weeks. They are students from a nearby college, the one you also attend, and they (at the time) were looking for a place to relax and study at.

Your family's restaurant business is intended to be a warm and comforting place for anyone who's seeking for some peace, which happens to fit the needs of the students perfectly.

And so they have been showing up here whenever they have the time, always coming in together and greeting you with their unique range of personalities.

"I knew I heard your voice, Heizou," you greet the plum-haired male with a small smile and a wave, placing the menus on the table.

As a part-time detective, you wonder how on Teyvat he's able to manage his immense workload and activities all while taking on cases. He has voiced numerous times the stress that came along with balancing school and detective work, but he wouldn't change a thing.

"(Y/N)'s here...! Happy! Missed you."

Razor's a friendly guy who often speaks in minimal and broken sentences. Apparently talking in full sentences tires him, so he settles with doing the simplistic. You find him cute, even more so when his serious gaze sparkles whenever he sees you.

"Great, now I'll for sure have a lucky day today! Can I have the usual, please?"

Bennett: an energetic and quite an unlucky individual, constantly having bandages and bruises decorating his skin. According to him, whenever he spends time at your restaurant, he either doesn't encounter any bad luck for the day, or he only experiences a maximum of three bad lucks.

Needless to say, you often find yourself patching him up, so you make it a habit to take note of how much bandages you have left in the first aid kit before having to head out to buy more.

"I'll take the black tea. That will be all."

And then there's Wanderer. He doesn't say much, at least to you, and always does the usual of ordering a bitter tea. Then he'll quietly drink it, listening to his friends converse, and only saying a couple words here and there.

You keep his and Bennett's orders in mind and shift your attention to Heizou and Razor. "Something fried for you, Heizou, and something with meat, right, Razor?"

Razor happily nods and gives a closed-eyed smile in response. Heizou beams and crosses his arms, leaning back against the seat.

"A popular special is the deep-fried soft crabs with a sweet chili sauce. How does that sound?" You point to an image of the dish on the page presenting all the special dishes the place offers.

Heizou hums in agreement. "That sounds good."

"And for you, Razor..." you murmur, trailing your finger across the various photos before landing on a particular one. "How about goulash? It's a soup filled with meat and vegetables, and it's seasoned with plenty of spices. I can always remove the vegetables for you and add in more meat."

Razor immediately nods and exclaims, "Meat! Meat!"

It has been a little over thirty minutes since the guys came in and ordered, and now they're enjoying their meals while talking about whatever it is they like to talk about.

You're currently cleaning the dishes in the back, humming to a pleasant tune as you focus on the forming bubbles. Once you finish this set, you plan to go out and check on them and the other table.

"Hey, (Y/N), you back there?" Bennett calls out from the front.

You rinse the bubbles away and dry your hands, meeting him and the rest of the guys. They all have their backpacks on, and upon glancing over at their table, their dishes are clear and neatly stacked together with the utensils on top.

"Oh, you guys are leaving a bit earlier than usual today. Is everything okay?" you ask.

"Yeah, don't worry," Heizou explains, "our professor recently had some personal problems show up, so he postponed the exam until a week from now. But we figured to get it done since he gave a choice of either doing the exam today, or to do it next week."

"Sad... want to stay longer..." Razor pouts.

Bennett reassures his friend with a pat on the back. "It's okay, we'll come back soon! Before you know it, we'll get to eat the yummy food again, hehe."

"Thank you again, (Y/N)!" the three guys say in unison. Then, they turn to look at their now glaring friend who's behind them.

"Time's ticking," Heizou teases, grabbing Wanderer's outfit and pulling him toward the front counter. He pushes the male a bit more, making him stumble forward as he steadies himself by holding onto the counter.

Bennett gives a thumbs up as Razor chants "go, go!" The violet-haired male sighs through his nose and continues intently gazing at you with narrowed eyes, so much so that... his face is flushing pink...?

Heizou pokes at Wanderer's cheek, which gets slapped away shortly after. Then, the latter takes a deep breath as his lips are pressed together in a line.

"According to these idiots, thanking someone is appropriate, particularly after they have done something for you, so..." he trails off, fumbling with his fingers.

"Two more words... proud of you...!" Razor encourages.

"Th-Thank you... I guess..." Wanderer finishes as he turns away, speed walking out the door.

"Not two... so close..." Razor sighs.

Two extra words, but you're touched by his thank you despite it being slightly awkward. Compared to his curt responses and nods for the past few weeks, simply hearing those two words of appreciation melts your heart as a warm smile graces your face.

Give me your hand. Heh, there's no need to be nervous. I'm just taking you to a vantage point. How is it? The scenery here should be quite breathtaking. There's no need to thank me—I see little point in it.
