Taehyun let out a sigh of relief getting out of that place. His heart was aching. Well he had been judged like this many times in the past too, but it didn't hurt as much as it did now.He then noticed the weather was extremely cold and few drops of water falling from the sky. He realized it was raining. The jacket was not enough to keep him warm but still he couldn't care less about it now. Moving his attention back to his phone, he dialed the younger's number feeling his eyes getting hot, blurry from the tears starting to burn a little.
"Hello Hyun? Are you there?" Taehyun heard the younger speak from the other line.
"Y-Yeah yeah. I-I am h-here. You called?"
"I actually wanted to ask about you. Are you okay?"
Taehyun went silent hearing this. He was holding his breath back controlling from choking. After a few seconds he spoke-
"Of Course I am okay Huening. Why?"
"I just wanted to. I am trusting you hyun. Also don't stay outside for a long time. It's raining."
"Y-Yeah. Got it. OKK! See you later."
"Sure. Good Night Hyun."
Taehyun let his tears roll away through his cheeks finally and felt like a bubble popped inside him. An emotional support that was holding him back. He felt hopeless and powerless due to the inability to defend himself from all the bitter words he heard fr earlier.
With slow disappointed steps, Taehyun didn't realize the rain drops had already transformed into snow. His top hair had some white snowy flakes, nose almost becoming the same red color as his hair. His hands were freezing.
"It's my fault.. I should have remained in my own limits.." The red haired male thought to himself. After a short yet long walk of 15 minutes, he finally reached the apartment of the older.
He now wanted to have some time alone so it felt like a bad idea to return to the same place where the older lived.
Twisting the door knob entering the password, Taehyun stepped inside only to see Beomgyu inside whose steps haulted hearing the sound declaring that he was back.
"Where were you?" At first Taehyun didn't want to answer. And wanted to rudely answer but his inner feelings didn't let him yell at him.
It happens that when you like someone a bit too much, you can't even yell at them even if they hurt you.
"Outside." Short yet cold reply.
"You look-
"Disgusting? Pathetic? Rubbish? Not from your status? I know already Hyung. You don't have to remind me that repeatedly." Taehyun cut Beomgyu's words rambling out all his inner frustrations and hurt still keeping his voice range under control.
"You know you c-could have dressed up a bit more nicely. Like..." Beomgyu stopped when he saw Taehyun laugh a little at his statement.
"Hyung, I am not rich like you. I have to use my money wisely and more carefully. Also I don't see anything is wrong with my dress up. I am completely fine. You understand?"
Taehyun said but strangely his voice held no malice or hatred. He just calmly said it.
"I am paying you for this isn't it enough?"
"I never asked you to pay me did I? You did it yourself Hyung. I will return your money back soon. Don't worry."
Beomgyu was about to speak but Taehyun cut him off again saying-
"Hyung, You didn't buy me with your money remember that."
Taehyun sighed by the tensed atmosphere and just shook his head. He was about to go upstairs but was stopped by Beomgyu who was gripping his hand.
"What?" Taehyun asked being confused.
"So you mean it's my fault?"
"Yes." Taehyun exclaimed straightforwardly with a deadpan face.
Beomgyu was not used to his kind of conversation. He never felt guilty for his arrogant attitude ever. But today, he couldn't help but feel heavy.
"How?"
"You didn't utter a single word infront of them. Not that I expected it." Taehyun lied in the last statement. He had some hopes that the older will say something but it never came true.
On the other hand, Beomgyu felt his heart ache for some reason hearing the last sentence of the younger.
He didn't expect anything?
Not that he wanted the younger to have expectations from him.... But...
Why does it pain?
"So what do you want me to do?" Beomgyu asked. Taehyun was surprised hearing it.
"You really want to hear?" Beomgyu nodded agressively still gripping on the younger's hand.
"Apologize. Simple." Beomgyu froze on his place. He never ever apologized to anyone. Even if he made any mistake, or anything wrong, he never made an initiative to apologize to others.
Well that's what gained him his fame of being a spoiled brat.
Taehyun chuckled sarcastically noticing the sudden haulting of the older's movements. He sighed with a sad yet disappointing smile gently removing the grip of the older.
"As expected. It's not so hard to apologize you know Hyung." Saying this, Taehyun not wasting any more time, stepped out from the place. But he stepped out of the apartment instead of going to the room. The older one had his lips parted but he couldn't say anything more.
He won't admit but he knew that he was at fault.
Taehyun really had some patience and self control to handle the older.
Mainly at this point, many people lost their patience with Beomgyu. They couldn't keep up with his supercilious and sanctimonious behavior. Except for the case of Taehyun. Beomgyu also didn't care if other people walked out of his life. Or like he pretended that he didn't care.
Deep inside he was lonely.
And he was not entirely wrong either.
Beomgyu had his own faults but that doesn't mean he is not a caring person either. He cares about his pride but for the right person he would step into that ego squishing it down the earth. Now, Beomgyu could have said he didn't care that Taehyun expressed his disappointment towards him but he couldn't do so.
It hurted him that he did something to offend the younger.
What's the deal with him getting worried that the younger will not like doing this or that?
Isn't he that same person who never bothered to listen up to other people?
Then what's the difference with Taehyun?
He couldn't point out this difference yet. He would behave differently with him but again infront of others, he would act somehow the opposite with the younger.
Even if Beomgyu seemed like he wouldn't care about other, but the reality is that he mostly cares about people's point of view about him.
That eventually results him to get a dual personality in private and public.
And if he doesn't step up soon, he is not so far away from loosing his grip from the younger.
Beomgyu looked around the house now. He used to live here alone just a few days ago. But now, it felt like something was missing.
The presence of someone.
