The sun has set long ago, giving way for the night sky with the few tiny stars twinkling up above, greeting anyone who's still awake at this time. Wanderer pushes himself off the couch, having just awaken from accidentally dozing off, and looks around the apartment, carefully listening for any sounds and searching for signs that someone came home.

It appears (Y/N) is still out and about.

He reaches for his phone and sees no text messages nor phone calls back. Frowning, he stands up and is about to consider going out into the night, but stops midway into his rush out the door when he hears aggressive knocking.

It's best to approach the front with caution and silence, as there's a chance (Y/N) isn't the one trying to break the door down. He takes a look through the peephole, holding onto his breath, and sighs in relief when he sees a familiar face.

"It's about time."

The door swings open, allowing you to stumble into the apartment. You almost immediately face plant the wall, but his body acts as the perfect cushion. He sighs in annoyance and shuts the door with his foot as he leads you to the couch, where you fall onto it happily.

You watch as he leaves somewhere, and then there's the sound of liquid being poured into a glass cup. He goes back to the living room and sits on the coffee table, offering you the drink.

"Drink it," he says firmly, pushing the drink to your parted lips.

Well... he's definitely not offering. A more accurate term is "forcing"; he's forcing you to drink whatever is in that cup.

You narrow your eyes at him and take the glass from his hand, observing the clear liquid. Even after giving it a quick sniff, you're unable to decipher what exactly this mysterious liquid is due to the lack of scent.

"Why... why should I drink this...? Did you, I don't know, poison it?" you accuse.

Wanderer's face matches yours as he rolls his eyes and taps his feet impatiently. He scoffs, "If I wanted to poison you, I would've done that a long time ago. Now hurry up and drink it. I'm not interested in staying up much longer to babysit someone who isn't appreciative of my efforts."

"Well, you... you can't blame me for thinking that. You have violet hair... and based on the books I'm reading, violet-haired guys... they are dangerous."

"Yes... and in case you forgot, you agreed to date a, oh-so-dangerous violet-haired guy."

You gasp. How dare this attractive friend of yours make such a blatant lie. "As... as if I would! Who is it then...? The guy."

He presses his lips together before heaving a frustrated sigh. "Me, you dumbass. Did you drink so much that you lost your ability to think properly?!"

"I didn't drink much..."

Surely he's just exaggerating. Although Hu Tao did challenge you to drink a little (just a little) more alcohol than what you usually drink, you're certain it isn't impairing your thinking nor your memories. In fact, you would've downed another bottle if it wasn't for Eula and Beidou quickly stopping you from making such a mistake.

Wanderer grits his teeth as his violet eyes stare back at you intently. "Just drink the water, will you."

You hesitate for a moment, leaving the rim of the cup against your lips, but then you take a sip. It tastes like... nothing, which is a good sign. Maybe. Poisoned drinks can be tasteless too.

He closes his eyes and rubs his forehead. "Seriously? Fine by me. If you're eager to wake up with a fascinating hangover, then be my guest: don't drink the water."

So he says, but he continues to watch over you as if he's waiting to make sure you finish up the water. You eventually down the water and put the empty glass on the table. He sighs, not saying anything for a while, simply taking the glass to the kitchen sink.

When Wanderer returns, he immediately lifts you up to your feet and leans your body against his, holding you by the waist and leading you into the bedroom. Your eyes widen as you push him away and fall to the ground, crawling to a corner while glaring at him.

"What appears to be the issue now?" he asks, walking over to your huddled position. He puts his hands on his hips, his frown deepening, as he gazes down at you.

If looks could kill... you'd be dead by now.

"What's... what's your intention...?" you accuse him again, giving him a look of sheer disappointment.

He throws his hands up in the air as a way of saying he's so done with your accusations. "Whatever foul thoughts you're having couldn't be further from the truth. (Y/N), I'm putting you to bed so that you can go to sleep. Do you understand what 'sleep' means?"

"Oh."

Seeing that you aren't going to argue back anymore, he crouches down to carry you in his arms, putting you on the bed and pushing you down gently so that you're laying down comfortably under the covers.

"You're... you're not going to... to take off my clothes and change me into some paja—"

Of course, he quickly interrupts you.

"Don't be ridiculous."

Drunk prompts are always so fun to write about, and they're even better when paired with certain characters like Wanderer. He's one of my favorite characters to write dialogue for.
