‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐

You hummed to yourself as you walked around the women's clothing section in the store. You were planning to add a few fluffy sweaters to your wardrobe, seeing as the weather's been quite chilly there in Australia.

You had noticed an older man carrying a selfie stick in the same aisle as you, and you couldn't help but feel unsettled, but you didn't want to seem rude by glancing at him and hurrying off. So, you did possibly the dumbest thing, and stayed in the aisle, continuing to examine the colorful selection of sweaters. A handful of sweaters caught your eye, distracting you from the very man you were worrying about a few moments ago.

"What do you think you're doing?"

You immediately looked over your shoulder and turned around, thinking that the words were directed at you, but when you looked, you were met with something different. There was a young woman standing in front of you. She had blonde hair and had on a red hoodie and a white beanie. She looked at the older man with a skeptical gaze. Her body practically blocked you entirely from the older man's view.

"What do you mean?" The older man asked.

You were beyond confused, so you reached out and tapped the young woman's shoulder. When she turned around, she looked at you.

She's extremely pretty.

"U-Uhm, I'm sorry but... What's happening?"

The young woman sighed, glaring at the man before looking back at you. "I saw this man taking upskirt photos and photos of your legs." She said. You gasped silently as your face scrunched up in disbelief and disgust. You looked at the man, pointing at the phone and selfie stick in his hand.

"Sir, can you please delete the photos you took?"

"What's the harm in it? It's not like I'm gonna-"

"The harm is that it's fucking illegal," The young woman cut in. "Illegal and disgusting. It doesn't matter what you are or aren't gonna do with those photos. They were non-consensual and if she asks you to delete them, then you're going to delete them."

You and the young woman held eye contact, as discomfort and anxiety bubbled up inside of you. The man's face contorted into one of anger, making you subconsciously step closer to the young woman. She noticed and slightly raised her arm to keep you behind her, a small attempt at letting you know that nothing bad was going to happen to you.

"Listen, woman. It's not like you know the lady. Just mind your own business, okay? I'm not harming her."

"Oh my fucking god." She sighed. "You're not getting it. What you're doing is illegal. Do I need to spell it out for you? I-l-l-e-g-a-l. Illegal. Delete the photos right now, in front of me."

The older man tsked. "Do you know her, lady?" He asked, looking at you.

You locked eyes with her once more, a pleading look in yours. You felt relief flood your veins when she gave a subtle nod.

"Of course. She's my girlfriend." The young woman nodded along to your statement, giving the older man a hard look.

A few moments of tense silence passed before the older man let out an exasperated sigh of frustration. "Fine. Jeez." He said. He unlocked his phone and deleted the photos completely, showing his phone to you and the young woman afterwards. When that was done, he walked off with the young woman glaring at him.

"Are you okay, ma'am?"

You looked up at her and gave her your best smile. "Y-Yes, of course. Thank you so much for helping me out of that." You bowed your head.

"Oh, it's no problem at all, what he did was gross. My name is Lily, by the way."

Lily. Cute name.

"Y/N. My name is Y/N, nice to meet you." You outstretched your hand to Lily, and as she shook your hand, neither of you could ignore the sparks you felt.
