(Author’s note: sorry I left you guys hanging for so long ;-; many of you were looking forward to an update so here you go, the tea has been spilled)

You have some explaining to do…" Alhaitham said. He crossed his arms and waited for a response.

"Esan is my ex," Kaveh finally said.

"How and when was I your ex? You can't just break up when you feel like it. We should at least talk about it," Esan snapped.

"I can never even talk with you. It's always an argument. Always a fight."

Alhaitham stepped between them, taking charge, "you heard him. Now go."

Esan groaned. He was about to take his leave when an idea crossed his mind. If he can't have Kaveh, no one can. "Can I speak with you? There's something really important you need to know," he said to Alhaitham.

"I'm listening."

"In private…" Esan insisted.

Kaveh tried his best to remain calm but he was sweating. He knew better than anyone how much of a manipulator Esan was but Haitham doesn't know that. What if he believed everything?

"Okay, we're alone. Now spit it," Alhaitham said after they'd stepped aside.

Esan leaned against the wall of the Akademiya. Scholars from all across Teyvat were in and out, each driven by their own thirst for knowledge. Esan remembered his own excitement and desire to learn. But that has soon faded.

It was about two years back when he first met Kaveh. His family was high in status and thus demanded him to get the best grades. He studied for countless nights but his effort could never yield a satisfying result even when he had private study sessions with Kaveh.

And that's when he'd started to grow feelings. He'd look forward to every lesson just so he could see Kaveh. They'd agreed to keep their relationship outside of the Akademiya but issues between them always seemed to arise.

Esan collected his thoughts and brought his attention back into reality. "I seriously don't know how to say this…"

"You're wasting my time. Just say what you have to say so we could leave," Alhaitham said, resisting the urge to yawn.

"Do you know why Kaveh got fired?" Esan asled.

"Of course, he told m–"

"No…he didn't tell you everything."

"Then?"

Esan stepped closer to him so no one else could hear. He had to tip toe a little for his mouth to be close enough to Haitham's ear. "Kaveh…he assaulted me," he whispered and slowly backed away.

"What do you mean?" Alhaitham said, trying to understand.

"He was my teacher and I'd stayed in class with him for a private session and…he assaultedme," Esan's words faded, he turned his head away and covered his mouth with his hand in an attempt to cover his quivering lips.

Alhaitham blinked slowly. He wasn't one to believe anything easily but he had to hear both sides of the story. "Let me get this straight. He assaulted you and you still want to be in a relationship with him?"

"He made me act like I still want him but it's not true! That's why you have to be careful of this man. He's a criminal. Who knows what he did with his other students."

"Done?" Alhaitham asked, unfolding his arms.

"What?"

"Are you done talking?"
