the same day, some hours into the school day

Katsuki Bakugo silently stood in between the glaring sun and a certain white haired girl's sleeping form. She was limp against her desk and chair, cheek pressed up against her notebooks and hair splayed on her arms that were also splayed on her desk. The curtains had been drawn to let in the natural light inside, although the ash blonde, being the meticulous boy he is, had noticed the sun's rays burning straight through the girl's resting eyelids. He didn't like how she started stirring, it had been bothering him and disturbing his peace of mind.

That's what he had told himself, at least.

He had sent glares at her the whole time during class when she stirred during her long nap, everyone knew it was a long night for her, they had watched the morning news after all. And they all knew she had a long afternoon with her brother, and on top of everything, no solid hours of real sleep. It was so bad that the teachers hadn't bothered her at all, not even Aizawa who usually told them to wake her up. The red eyed boy somehow thought his harsh gazes would make her turn her head away from the light—it obviously didn't work.

So when it was time for break, he quickly ignored any of his friend's attempts of socializing and pretended to mess with the window on the girl's side. When the few who were wondering what he was doing—finally looked away, he stopped pretending to mess with the window and glanced back. He adjusted himself so his shadow would cover the girl from the sun, then he decided to go on and get on his phone. For a second, his eyes caught some sparks dancing around in her hair carelessly.

Then, he fell into trance, staring at her. Katsuki Bakugo is a meticulous boy. He paid attention to the new details on the girl. He realized her roots were growing in already, yet, it was the original space blue color from when he first laid his eyes on her. He decided he would bother her about it later. He continued basking in her appearance, her pastel yellow top was a bit hiked up since she had her arms slouched on her desk. She would usually get chills, but since her quirk was finally back, he didn't need to be bothered by her feeling cold anymore.

Her pink pants were a bit wrinkled, meaning she had been moving a lot since she changed into them. Because he knew damn well she was wearing different clothes when she went out with her brother. Her shoes were dirty, she probably didn't have extra to change into since he knew they definitely got dirty during her fight with that fish villain—shark villain, but Katsuki didn't care for irrelevant details. The girl had new piercings that he spotted, a new one on her right eyebrow, two others in total above her already pierced ears, and her belly button.
