36 - He Mattered

Luke's art gallery was coming up soon and it was a pretty exclusive and fancy event.

Considering both Calum's and Michael's more casual, laidback styles of clothing, they didn't have any suits they could wear to the gallery. Ashton had already taken Calum. Today he was taking Michael, since Michael had work off.

Michael was nervous. Not because he was alone with Ashton; he was comfortable around him now. He's just never worn a suit before and didn't know how it would feel or look.

He was afraid he'd look stupid.

Michael eyes widened in surprise when he saw himself in the mirror once everything was on. His hands went up to caress the fabric of the suit jacket.

He was in awe.

He never really thought of himself as attractive or good looking, but this was...nice. The suit was so soft and he liked the style of it.

The worker did a perfect job of understanding Ashton's description: fancy, but minimal detail nor distraction. Also a love for the color black.

Michael's whole outfit was black, which he loved. The shoes, pants, jacket, shirt, and tie were all a matching shade of black, blending into each other as a set collection. It all fit perfectly too, hugging his body where it showed his curves, but not too much where he felt uncomfortable.

He took in a big deep breathe, peering at the door. He knew Ashton was outside, wanting to see the suit on Michael before he bought it.

He nervously gripped onto the door handle, eventually twisting it and stepping out for Ashton to see him. Ashton instantly looked, eyes widening when he saw Michael.

Michael looked so perfect and so precious.

Ashton wanted Michael to be his already.

"Michael..." Ashton said in awe, "You look beautiful."

Michael blushed brightly, making Ashton grin.

"Are you...Are you sure it's okay? Will Luke and Calum like it?"

"Oh I'm positive. It's more than okay." Ashton hummed out, unashamedly looking Michael's suit-covered body up and down.

"Ashton." Michael blushed.

"Hmm, precious?" Ashton smirked, stepping forwards to tower over the shorter man. Michael fumbled slightly backwards and more into the dressing room, resulting in Ashton following and closing the door behind them.

He slowly backed Michael against the wall, leaning in to press a soft kiss onto the tattoo artist's cheek. He looked right into the pair of green eyes while he spoke, "So beautiful. So pretty. So precious. You're perfect, Michael."

"Ashton..." Michael took in a deep breathe, loving how he was making him feel. Ashton always complimented him, making him feel better about himself. He felt appreciated and cared for. He felt like he mattered, "I-I..."

"What is it?"

"I...I want to kiss you."

"Do it then, precious. Because I want to kiss you."

Michael slowly brought his hands up to lay on Ashton's shoulders, leaning forwards to press his lips against the gangster's. He moved his lips against Ashton's, trying not to smile when he felt Ashton move his lips too.

It was an amazing kiss. Both of them loved the moment together. They were the last pair to get to know each other, but it didn't mean they didn't care about each other any less.

"I love you." Ashton said as soon as he pulled away from the kiss, "I'll do anything for you, precious. I just want you to stay with us."

"I love you too, Ashton." Michael smiled brightly, laughing when Ashton brought him into a large hug and twirled him around.

"Okay, let's get you out of this suit and buy it. Then I'll take you out for some lunch. Sound good?"

"Sounds good." Michael grinned, happy that he finally found someone that didn't make him feel afraid to have lunch anymore.
